HELP!!! failed my hesi and got kicked out of school need your help

hi. I am a nursing student( i unfortuantally was 5 wks from graduating and failed out of class) i am very upset about this and trying to figure out what i can do to finish my rn degree. I have been looking into exselsior rn program and was wondering if there were people out there like me who have worked very hard and was greatly disappointed about their past failure. Is the exselsior program something that is effective in achieving my goal of rn? I have enrolled in a lpn class but am frustrated about going to lpn for 1 yr and then having to be on a waiting list for another yr to get into "college" for finishing my rn( which will take another yr)

I really hate to have to take another 3 or so yrs to finish my degree when i have worked so hard for the past 5 yrs to get this. My previous school was just not that caring if you passed or failed. They rushed through class lecture and even left you to finish the studying by yourself b/c they ran out of time to teach the lesson.. how frustrating!! this is what i paid for...

Is excelsior helpful with problems or difficulties that you might have? I appreciate any information anyone can give me about this..

thanks!!!

Hey boots what state are you in? If your state is EC friendly go with it, why do an LPN program when you qualify for EC and RN is your ultimate goal. Lots of support here.

Boots;

Have you considered going to school part time, so you don't feel so rushed?

I have failed by three points with 9 weeks to go, have held 80s or above all through school working part-time almost full-time as an LPN. This last semester my sig others mother and father both fell very ill with cancer and being cared for at home with mom passing away during the semester. I got low scores on two quizes at this time and failed our midterm. Pulled quiz avg up to 80+, 82 on my paper and above 80 on final. Those three grades were the only low grades the whole 3 years. I petitioned to take the test again but they refused. Meanwhile passed my clinical with excellent performace evals and even the nurses in ICU asking if I was interested in working there as they were impressed with how well I did. I truly believe this was a bad timing issue and feel very robbed. I can now wait until January to repeat that whole semester then move on to the last 9 weeks or I have been considering EC because I can't stand the thought of waiting to be done when I feel I have already finished. The last 9 weeks is all clinical that is all I would have had to get through. So torn!

You may want to give yourself alittle break, but we know what is best for us. I went through similar situation with my mother, father and brother. Mom DVT at same time Dad in hospital (been in/out for 7 years) MI's, COPD,bleeding ulcers,Cancer etc.., brother (open heart). I was working fulltime CNA. Never ending being the only caretaker. In my school I barely made it, decided to take a break. Decided to go through EC for purposes of my family members needing help. It makes it hard to go to a traditional program when life circumstances come into play. If you decide to go with EC there are some great people here with good advice. If you should decided to go back to school I wish you best of luck! :)

Hello

My name is Jeanette Buckner and I have been thru the exact same thing that you have been thru. I mean the exact same thing happen to me. I went thru an entire rn program, the school that I went thru we needed a 850 score and i recieved an 839. And they dismiss me from the entire program. Because God has put the desire in my heart to continue and I also want to continue I have not stop. I am currently going to a lpn program and I am going to bridge over to an rn program. It was absolutly devasting but i got thru it by the grace of God and his son Jesus. You can do all things thru CHIRST that strenghtens you. Dont give up on your dreams and keep your head up. :up:
