Help - copy of clinical rotation schedule

Published

so i submitted my repeat/reapply application to CA BRN only to find out that they are asking another requirement from me..

- a copy of your clinical rotation schedule for all cases: assisted/actual deliveries, cord dressing and major/minor surgeries.

that is the exact wordings on the letter.. i am positive that i submitted all the necessary requirements and was even made eligible before by the board to take the exam but why are they asking for this now..?

am getting frustrated and stressed out about this.. what do they exactly mean by this..? are these the cases that we have to complete upon graduation to take the NLE in the philippines..?

i didn't take my local board back home because my visa was about to expire and i know for a fact that it is not necessary to take the CA NCLEX..

please help.. thank you :(

your number one fact:if our educational system are not considered to have any value,so how come many nurses are here working in different hospitals in the US..with other profession too..

your number two fact:if our education obtained in our country is not given any worth, how come many were petitioned by their employers just to get their service to work in hospitals here..and again with other profession as well..

your number three fact:if despite our being educated and excellent filipino, nurse, teachers, lawyers and doctors are working as caregivers, janitors and other menial work..youre right(a decent job we all know)but we dont know their story..they have their own reasons..

What you are trying to imply is that our education in the Philippines doesnt have value of excellence so why you didnt think of it prior to getting a degree in nursing..

Bottomline is do not generalize..

What are they asking for it is the 5-5-5 cases or the schedule of hospital duties? Thank you very much. And for all the rejected ones, What was the reason? Was is because the particular subject in theory and clinical have to be at the same time? for example maternity subject and maternity cases should be on the same time taken? And did you all apply in California? Thank you so very much.

almost all that was denied applied in CABON..some because of deficiency in hours and others majority of it because of the theory and clinical cases they said it should be concurrent(taken in the same semester)..

ur facts are somewhat misleading. of course our lawyers wouldnt be lawyers here or anywhere else in the world, Phil law is different in any other part of the world. it is only applicable in the phil. if our education is not valued then there will be no other skilled/professional filipinos in every part of the world. people work themselves to achieve high and to watever makes them happy. they are the ones who choose wat work they would like to do.

my final comment to you is, why in the first place study in the phil if u dont have a single belief in the system? you are not the only one who grew up here in the states and studied abroad.

no offense but before studying in the phil, did u research what school you will go to? If you had only looked to what school does CHED and the American state colleges actually recognize here in the US or other countries before enrolling?

did u find a school that they accept federal aids/ state loans? did u find school that has an affiliation in state colleges/universities here in the state? did u look if there are student exchange program in the university/college in the phil?

say something if u actually have the concrete facts that will cover the entire education in the phil and say such words against to the quality of education in the phil. it would be ur own fault if u did still continue studying in one of the university/college in the phil that is not up to ur standard or maybe it was ur professor that lacks that knowledge that you are looking for. u cud have had talk to ur dean or CHED to have ur prof and school to be re-evaluated. dont blame the entire institution if only one has the problem.

------This is ridiculous or you are being ridiculous because you are putting words, twisting my comments and " understanding" based on how you want to "percieve" what I am saying. I recognized that truth hurts but live with it! I suggest you re-read my statements again so you can argue logically not just rant like a bipolar patient on a manic phase and refusing to take lithium or maybe an antipschotic.

hi, @retetestis!

i've been reading many posts now & happen to find you here. are you not having the concurrency issue? i'm trying to get as much input about our schoolmates' application process, so the con & registrar will have an idea of what ca-brn are requiring now.

if you don't mind letting me know your additional requirements and what you have done so far, please e-mail at:

anyone may contact me through the e-mail address above for any input, thoughts, comments, additional information, etc. thanks so much y'all-

Hi guys, I have the same problem. The board just sent me a mail saying that I needed to submit a copy of my clinical cases. I have the summary but I don't have all the actual case numbers. I have my Actual/Cord/Assist...but misplaced my Minor/major.

Do they still need even if I just submit my summary.

So stressed out with the studying and this came along.

please help.

i recieved the same letter from bon last night, it sucks but just got to deal with it. my questions is if we submit the copies of clinical rotations and grant eligibility again and for another time we need to retake will they be asking to complete another request?

and for some people who was asked to do ob and med surg again, did you recieved the same letter for clinical rotations?

better also ask ur school to provide the clinical rotation including the hospital name, date of rotation, name of clinical instructor, no of hours, and area. that was what my evaluator asked me to do after i submitted the PRC cases that i had before. he told me on the other letter that clinical rotation was the area, etc not the PRC cases since we are not applying for NLE but rather NCLEX.

the PRC cases that we had was not really what they are looking for but the actual duties that we had in those areas.

if u still kept ur rle book like i did, better send it to ur school when u ask them for the copy of ur clinical rotations. my school is not really good at safe keeping records thats y i learned to keep a copy of everything that they give me. :( it took my school 3mons trying to figure out my clinical rotation and i made them tell the truth wats keeping them long, and they told me that some of my rotations were not encoded in the computer and some of the files are already corrupted.it would have had saved me time and the dean's secretary if id given the rle book beforehand.

hope this helps.

Hi anne919,

Does this mean that PRC cases (5 minor and 5 major surgery, 5 actual and 5 assisting deliveries and 5 cord care) doesn't really matter? all that matters is the copy of clinical rotations Schedule? Because I have also problem with mine, they are asking for Clinical rotation schedule and clinical cases completed. It doesn't matter if they coincide with each other?

One of my friend was denied from his application to take the exam here in California because his clinical schedule and clinical cases did not coincide with each other...We all know that's its very impossible for Filipino students to complete the cases in only 1 semester because of the limited number of cases versus the number of students.

Please advise, because we are really frustrated about this additional documents that they are requiring to take the exam which they only require to Philippine Nursing graduates. Thank you...

your school should have the copy

hi there,am too have the same problems...what they asked was my "clinical rotation record", so i provided them with my RLE copies, cause id lost already my PRC cases..then i receive their reply, stated that my med-surg nrsng and obstetrics doesn't meet their requirements and all/or some of my clinical cases were incomplete....and i should have additional course work in order to remove my deficiency..i graduated from nursing in 2007,and twas my 2nd take and i failed and now am having a hard time figuring out what really the problems with my papers..been reviewing for almost 3 months and planning to take the exam end of march, i am very disappointed with this..:(

@ killerbee..i receive "clinical rotation record" only and no schedule on it...

@ AlyssaKathleen..does your school have the copy of those,..mine, they don't keep such record..

@ mjhay....kabayan if your clinical rotation record doesnt have schedule on it,so how come the board will know that your clinical cases were incomplete?I wonder how or where they really base their decision not to give applicants their eligibility..:(right nowIm still waiting for CABON's reply..:(
