Hello Virginia board of nursing examiners! Questions on process of application,

Im done with my cgfns ces report, i called them telling me that they send a copy already to virginia board of nursing. What i did is called virginia board of nursing and they told me that after application they will email me what other documents they need. So will i wait to the eligibilty coming from virginia board of nursing before i can apply or register to pearson vue..? Thanks!

Hi jhendora, my own understanding is that you wait for an offical letter or email from Virgnia BON that tells you that your licence RN application is approved. Usually most states will give their applicants 1 year of application expiration. If for example you plan to register in Pearson. That 1 year will become 90 days (3 months). So I suggest that when you register for Pearson you will have to calculate if 3 months is enough for you to study nclex. The main objective of registering Pearson Vue is for you to adjust your exam date within that 3 months.

did the va bon receive your documents from the cgfns? did you already apply in va bon? like pay the fee? if yes, login on you acct in license.dhp. theres a check list on acct that you can monitor if they already receive you documents.. and they will indicate that your eligible to take the exam.. but the va bon wont give you the att.. PEARSON VUE will send it to you through email..so you should pay first $200 so that you can have your att :) im also a foreign grad and just passed my nclex rn here in va :) GOOD LUCK GODBLESS :)
