Not impossible, I guess, but HIGHLY improbable. DH had a vasectomy over ten years ago.
(((((smkoepke))))) Sorry about your miscarriage.

I'm 26 and I've been having a similiar situation since Aug 03. I had to use tampons and pads. I bled for 3 weeks out of the month. My doctor has no idea what's going on. I have had an ultrasound and a transvaginal ultrasound. Everything was clear. I have a biopsy scheduled for Monday. I'll let you know how that goes.

I could not work due to uncontrolled bleeding every 25-30 minutes . I once bought a pkg of Depends, but could not bear the thought of wearing them. I wear lg. pad sold as urinary incontinence pads, only because they were the biggest I could find. I,m 51, perimenopausal, with heavy monthly periods. Have had endometriosis since I was a teen. I have been on GNRH, progesterone, had D&cs, in the past. My friend has had good results with endometrial ablation, but do check this out with your gyn. I posted today on surgical menopause. Heavy bleeding can be caused by many factors, such as fibroids, and hormonal changes . I will be having a hysterectomy in about 2 weeks. I too, didn't want to go to the Dr. because I had no health insurance, and feared it would be documented as a pre-existing, when I get insurance, but truly, go to the dr. cause you are worth taking care of yourself, no matter about insurance worries. Don't let lack of money stop you, like I rationalized. My dear friend hit me on the head with a 2x4, and said "GO!", and I'm glad I did.

I've been having major clots, too, for a while. Just not this huge gush thing. I promise, I will see my doc. My OBGYN is great, he has delivered all three of my children and had taken very good care of me over the years through a uterine suspension and freezing my cervix due to abnormal cell growth (don't know the med terminology for the procedure or problem).
I know better than to put off my own medical care, but it sure is easy to justify at the time when you're broke and wondering what you're going to feed your kids, or HOW you're going to feed them! Things are a little better money-wise, and we do have insurance now, so I'd better get it looked into (no pun intended).
Thanks, babern! :kiss

Please do let us know how that goes! Hope they can get to the bottom of this for you, and I will pray everything works out well. :kiss

Just wanted to share that at age 28, I finally had to succumb to a hysterectomy. Still have both ovaries, so didn't go through surgical menopause. I'm age 52 now, and still feel fine. Hope things turn out okay for you, too. :kiss
Lisa, please see your doctor. One can really never tell if its something to be concerned about or not unless having a doctor check it out. Better get checked out to make sure. ((((hugs))))) :kiss

Lisa, another thing to consider is diet. I know you were (not sure when, etc..) doing the South Beach Diet? I know when i started Atkins, my flow for 2 consecutive months was HORRENDOUS. My doc told me that was normal for the amount of carbs i was eating, and i needed to up my iron intake (veggie wise) and protein. When i did that, it stopped no problem. But supposedly its common in low carb dieting. I was like you, it was LITERALLY gushing, pouring out of me and i couldn't do anythign or go anywhere. I did an herbal remedy to slow the bleeding which totally helped, but until i knew the cause i didn't know what to do! lol LMK if you need the remedy and i'll post it for ya! :)

Not that I know of. My mother has and has has a lot of "female problems." Can these things ever be genetic, in that I may be more prone to these if my mother had them, etc.?
BTW, I am still flowing very, very heavily.

I had heard of menstrual problems with women on low carb diets. I dunno though, i haven't been very "good" lately...especially when you consider I had two bowls of chocolate malt ice cream and about half a can of dark chocolate frosting! Can we say "hormonal eating"?!!! :roll
Yes, please post the herbal remedy! Thanks! :kiss
