I figured that's what you meant. My goal is 4 times a week as well. I made that goal last week and so far so good this week.

I made my goal of four times last week again. This week is probably going to be a no because I've got so much going on socially and with church, but we'll see. I wish I slept better and I would get up in the AM and go.

Well good morning (it is my morning because I just woke up!) Worked last nite, work tonite and tomorrow. I got every other Thursday taken away (on purpose) so I work avg 20 hrs a week - they were having me work 4 night shifts in a row every other week and with my church activities it was just a bit much. So I am psyched.

TWO DAYS of eating right, praise God! And my Gazelle comes in the mail on the 14th I cannot WAIT! I am psyched! :)

There is a mutual support site called "Sparkpeople" and it has different communities, people w/ health and fitness goals, they have a web page much like Myspace does but the focus is our goals.

I belong to a Maine community, a Gazelle community, a Christian community and a nurses community. I am not sure I need all those but it is not unlike having 4 favorite threads on here I guess.

Anyway - I am excited. Still skeptical but excited lol...

It's a shame that by being skeptical we are being our own worst enemies. But I understand. I just take one day at a time and leave yesterdays failures behind.

I don't come here often enough. And, I should for the support you get here is so good.

Been on a "refined eating plan" now for almost 3 weeks. I've been exercising, but not faithfully, I admit. But, it is SOOO much more than I was doing. So, I'm quite proud of that.

I have now lost 18 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds like a good plan! :D

I am doing all right. Still haven't put my gazelle together, but I am off thru this coming friday! I can't wait to try it!

Thanks, zoey and Tweety.

It's nothing special. Just really conscious about labels. I watch carbs and fat intake.

I cut out all sweets (cutting out choco about killed me), breads, and Cokes. I have Diet Sprite for carbonated beverage. Drink water and use Crystal Light if I need flavor and a "sweet" taste. Unsweetened tea and of course, I have to drink my coffee in the a.m.

I have some GI issues, so have to be very careful with salads, but I eat that. Only raw veggies I eat are cauliflower and broccoli with my lettuce.

I will bake chicken, have very lean ground beef and have boiled shrimp for my meats. Also, eat turkey and ham thin sliced from the deli - usually on salads. I found some frozen Tyson grilled chicken to use on salads and Tyson Southwest grilled chicken in the meat dept.

For crunchy snacks, I'll eat some pork skins on occasion. Sometimes I'll eat 1/2 cup cottage cheese. Sugar-free jello with FF Cool Whip. Cannot tolerate nuts, so never have those.

Found catsup with 1 gram carbs and it tastes good. FF mayo, sour cream, cottage cheese (low fat) if I need to use making dishes, but not often. I found that I like the "Spritzer" salad dressings, too. I can control how much I get. And, I use "I Can't Believe it's Not Butter", spray when needed.

I know I should eat breakfast, but normally, I do not. If I do, I'll have scrambled eggs.

But, no bread, choco, or Cokes. No potatoes either (well, I had about 1/2 of one only once).

I fell off the wagon one day and had a Snickers bar and about 3/4 of a Coke. But, for the most part, I have stuck to my plan 3 weeks this coming Monday.

So I've set some goals for the week. One is to cut down on the coffee and drink 3 cups of green tea a day. Second is to go to the gym four times next week. Seems doable.

Hello everyone,

it's been along time since I posted. I'm down a total of 10lbs at 135lbs. Finally, I've been bouncing around at this weight for a while but it is now sticking.

overall, family health is finally better which is good after last year. (I really didn't think I was going to make it. Not too pretty but hey alls well that ends well.)

Kids are out of school for the summer. I now work full-time and dh is now home full-time, due to lay-offs. it has definitely all been for the best though at times the bank account looks a bit bleak. Yet, everyone is getting paid: the mortgage is already paid for July. There's food in the refridgerator, the electric, gas and water companies have been paid. The children are happy and are having their needs met as best as we can. Even the dog is being taken care of soooo it's turning out well. The story won't end until we are all dead of course because that is life, however, I wanted you to know how that chapter in my life turned out. OBTW, I started a new job. That helped alot too, with decreasing stress. I work nights which is hard on my body but, I am also happier on nights for some strange reason. I think it has to do with not having to interact with all the other departments, families, and every single different personality that shows up during a day-shift. Kinda strange, cause I am definitely not a night person. Yet, I suppose this is the season. Ya know, to everthing there is a season . . . .

Well, my littlest one is calling so I gotta go. BTW, the little one is almost 7, will start 2nd grade in the fall, and stands over 4ft tall. The older child is shorter than the sibling, is now swimming 4 days per week. both played sports and will do so again this fall. Take care. I'll check in when I can.

Just getting this back on my subscription list, hi hi. I just started going to a wellness group (10 weeks) so if there is anyone who is on this journey or wants to start, pop in and say hello! Or even if you DON''T want to (you have to start somewhere and "don't" is just as good a place as any lol...)

My biggest beef is I have done this soooo many times, WHY do I always have to start over, why can't I just keep plugging?

Hope to see somebody :) Thanks for giving me the link Tweety!
