Part IV
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
(thanks for the thank you Mave :) )
Of course! You're welcome. :)
I invented a new dish... to a cooked sweet potato, I add 2 ounces of soyrizo and a tablespoon of Greek yogurt. I don't know what vegans could use in place of the yogurt, but it isn't really necessary. This makes a great breakfast and keeps me full till lunch.
That sounds pretty interesting. What exactly is soyrizo? I would love to taste it. Where would I be able to buy it?

Soyrizo is meatless chorizo (chorizo is a pork sausage of Spanish/Portugese origin.) It is pretty readily available where I live, in San Diego County, but if you can't find it near you, you can buy it online- http://www.melissas.com/catalog/index.cfm?product_ID=642&info=Yes. I buy mine at Trader Joe's, which carries their own brand, but other brands are sold at health food stores and in some of the larger supermarkets. I like it a lot.
Now I've invented a new dessert. I wanted something I could have in one of my pretty dessert bowls and feel like I was having a real dessert... not a sugar free 40 calorie Fudgesicle. Don't get me wrong, I like sugar free 40 calorie Fudgesicles, but they just don't feel decadent. I used reduced fat Cool Whip mixed with a cup of fresh raspberries and topped it off with five small gingersnaps, crushed into crumbs. Yum!
Raspberries, Cool Whip and gingersnaps sound gross to you? Boy, you don't want to hear some of the concoctions I come up with then.
Now that's a combination I know I would love.......
Actually I didn't notice there were more posts and I was talking about the sweet potato/soyrizo/yogurt combination, which sounds totally gross. I'm all about desserts though. :)

I totally concur! But that's cuz I am not crazy about sweet potato (as good for you as it is, supposedly much better than regular potato!)
GREEK YOGURT however is fantastic! have you ever tried it? No sour, no curd-y consistency - ohh it is dreamy!
