BBF, don't you love it when people start noticing? Kudos!I had an "off" day yesterday and it was real bad. That's all I'll say about that. Going to the gym here in a few.
I am so sorry Tweety! But feeling guilty sometimes makes it harder for us to keep going - try to throw it off ... {{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}
On a happy note, I stepped on the scales this am, then off, then on, then off, then on - I cannot cannot believe it - I have felt all week like I was getting fatter! But I lost another 3 lb! For a total of 9! whoo hoo!
I took my kids trick-or-treating at the zoo yesterday. I walked my butt off. My foot hurts, but the rest of my body feels great.
Congrats, Tweety. At first I was upset that I only lost 1 pound this week, but I read that 1-2 pounds a week is a good goal, because any more than that may be water loss. I am making that my goal, too. I give myself a free day too. I have found that since I started eating better, I don't want things that are bad for me on my free day either.
Thanks for the pointer, Tweety. You're right- a steady course is working. Well that, and being mindful of what I eat. I took the kids trick-or-treating the other evening, and I haven't even wanted their candy. I lost another pound this weekend. That puts me at the 10 lb mark. It's a milestone-Yay!
BBF, it's tough accepting just 1-2 lbs a week when the first few weeks are usually a lot larger, but studies seem to indicate that's the best way to keep it off. Massive quick weight loss isn't sustained (but for those with surgical interventions), so slow and steady is best.
I agree with Tweety,lots of pounds is great at first but a steady lose of 1-2 pounds a week helps you to try and tone up and not end up with yards of loose skin!!I've lost 29 pounds now and am slowing down to a pound a week,sometimes a pound every two weeks.As long as it keeps going down it's fine.BTW if you lose 2 pounds a week for a year you will lose 7 stone (98 lbs)!!
That puts me at the 10 lb mark. It's a milestone-Yay!
Absolutely!
I set a reward system up for myself - for every 5 lb, an outfit, or present. Nothing huge, just something to strive for (then when I reach and maintain my goal I will have to continue to reward myself heh heh)
if you lose 2 pounds a week for a year you will lose 7 stone (98 lbs)!!
Wheee!
