Part IV
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Blue, I hate moving but it's good that you were able to get of some stuff. Funny how stuff accumulates isn't it?
I'm enjoying the mountains so far, but don't feel very rested. I always have trouble sleeping away from home. Plus tired from the driving. But I have four more days here to chill out and will enjoy that. I'm going to try to stick to eating healthy, and perhaps taking a walk or two for exercise. Will try to do some meditation as well.
Woot!
I actually went back to bed after the above post and despite having just consumed coffee slept another 1.5 hours and feel very rested now. Usually it takes a few days for me to start sleeping well and getting rest. :)
{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}} I hope you continue to enjoy the break! and come back refreshed! (I hear people say often that they need to come back and take a vacation from their vacation!)

Actually (and I'm not Tweety, LOL) I think vacations are great. It's unloading the car and facing the huge pile of laundry I really don't appreciate...and good mother that I am, I won't even mention how crabby my children can get when faced with "real life" the next morning . Of course, I'm always cheerful as the day is long

Zoe this is definately not one of those vacations that I'm going to need a vacation from. I've been eating mostly healthy vegetarian food since I've been here and am relaxing a lot. Today's my last day in the mountains before heading off to Savannah for one day and then back home, afterwhich I still have a week off. Woot!
Woot!
I did a 40 minute power wallk up and down the hills yesterday. That felt good (especially coming down....LOL).
I eat at a vegetarian restaurant last night and ate and ate and ate. It was good food, but I'm still having trouble with portion control when I eat out. I have to clean my plate and never bring food home.

It would definitely be better if I actually had one
. Things are going well, though. I've eaten well the last couple of days...more by luck than actual decisions, but I'm still happy about it :).
I'm actually much healthier now that the stress of nursing school is over. I don't think I realized how much pressure that caused until I was done. I'm still busy, LOL, but at least I don't have homework always hanging over my head. Besides, now that I'm not spending hundreds of dollars every 4 months for books, I'm thinking I should buy myself a new outfit :).
