Part IV
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Sweaty and stinky? Me????Actually, I'm off to the gym and I haven't even showered from work last night. Definately stay away from me when I get back. The joys of living alone though. LOL
Ah, Tweety. . . Just reveling in filth, are you? You know, if you smell strong enough, people will clear out of the way and you can have your pick of the machines at the gym--sounds like a good game plan, LOL.
Blue--good luck on your hubby's job. I hope you end up just where you want to be. It's sometimes fun to pick up and start over somewhere new. And the good thing about nursing is it isn't a local kind of a job :).
Zoe--how's the bike and blades? I've been woefully sluggardly here.
Muffie--I see you at the bottom of the screen :). How are you doing?
Don--are you toying with our affection, LOL? Don't abandon us just yet .
And where is Miss Sarah and our friend, ER? They seem to have gone AWOL.
And, Angie--are you too busy cooking to come on-line ?

"woefully", that's a good word for it, sigh... i am just too *&^% lazy...
2 hours biking along the river with birds , trees, wind, ducks, geeseoh joy oj bliss
oh honey i am proud of you!
lost 10 lbs so far on sbd...!i'm very happy. people are noticing, and i love the compliments!
ditto don!
2.3 miles walking. much more consistent now. Improved diet for kids and myself - does help that the fruit trees are producing .
Will probably start looking for a really good book for improving medial muscle strength. Having problems with left leg having more fat and less muscle than the right.
Congrats HikerRN for passing boards.
Congrats Don for the weight loss.
Hang in Zoe. Who knows maybe we'll end up meeting each other at a 1/2 marathon or something as walkers.
Absolutely, shocked that the 2-3 pounds are gone gone gone. sometimes I just keep wondering if it was water weight, but the scale has been sooooooo consistent. Anywhoooo . . . .
Goals are definitely helpful these days. I always have been a long range planner, just made small adjustment to include a Half Marathon in 2008. I would love to do this by the end of this year but, my muscles aren't ready yet; and homeschool will be starting in less than 90 days. the kids and I have really had a good time so far this summer.
Hope everyone else is doing well also.
I wish I could pop in more often; but, it just doesn't happen. My best to everyone.

Zoe - you are so sweet! Interview was for DH. It went well, but he won't know for at least another week whether they offer the job to him or the other guy. He also has an application floating out there in Bakersfield. They SAY they want him, but offer is pending from there too. Either place is fine by me, it's all good.
Eating better and it feels good to do something other than sit in the car. Except today I have been sitting at the computer trying to get ahead on homework. Off to Vegas for the big 5-0 birthday - we leave on Tues. evening to get to the airport, fly out Wed. a.m. (We live 3 hours from nearest airport and often get a hotel the night before. Less stress about getting to the airport in time that way.)
Back to laundry and the treadmill now...
