I made some awesome lentil soup, with kale and a tomato boulline that I just loved - very healthy with fiber, protein, no fat and lots of greens. The only bad part was the sodium in the bouilline. I have switched to low salt boulline, but still have some leftovers to get rid of.
Recipe please.

Got my 1000 word paper submitted yesterday. Ran out of words for today. Need to come up with a topic for a research paper. Surfing the rest of AllNurses for ideas.
Life is status quo, eating good but could use more exercise.
Muffie - you have me inspired. Am crunching more veggies following your fine example. I go for adult carrots instead of baby ones.

Been busy today altho I did sleep late (what else can I do when I stay up half the nite!) -- got some stuff accomplished. This has to do with healthier living because when I get behind - I get behind ... er, ya know, I know that's logical... HA HA

I have two WW cookbooks waiting for me at work - payday is Wed. and I will bring them home - today had raisin bran and tonite I did succeed in cooking carrots in the micro, had with leftover chicken and potato - um yum! I use that "Smart Balance" spread, does anyone know if that is really a good product? or am I just a sucker? I have heard that margerine is just one molecule away from plastic - is this spread in that same family?
Sorry Zoe, guess I don't know how to spell "bouillin". This is the brand I used for my soup. Very good, with the lentils, onions, and greens.... thanks for the links... Definately when one increases fiber, one should also increase fluid intake. :)

Anyhow. I'll just add some prunes or figs to the diet, and I'm sure things will take care of themselves.Also, coffee works, another reason why I enjoy my daily cup.
Coffee works for me, too. Cashews work well! altho they are classified as a fat aren't they?
Hi all! ... I have been doing good with the exercise and kept it up all weekend - so yeay! The eating was good all except Saturday when I decided to have a hershey's bar, but I was pretty proud of myself for limiting it to just one and then getting right back on the wagon Sunday - I feel like I may actually be making some progress with the will-power - WooHoo!!!!
You are doing GREAT - don't worry about one hershey bar!

Been "good" today - had salad w/ my baby carrots which were wicked good, TY Muffie - cheese in the salad, made fresh corn on the cob with butter spray (hope that is ok), and I got me some green tea - so I should be -10 lb tomorrow... lol
I feel pretty good, it's been good to be outside more and absorb some of that Vit d, am walking a teeny tiny bit more...

Spent yesterday on myself and really that was enough......lol
Today Ms Ruth and I are going to curves this am, I belong and she is trying it out......Ms Ruth is one of the wonderful, older, retired woman that live around here......I just love her.
With all the rain, the river should be way up....plan on walking out there this afternoon and trying to get some pics of it and some waterfalls. Should be pretty, if it has stopped raining by then.
Did I mention all the rain?...lol.......finally has brought us out of our drought, so no complaints, except have to turn off the computer during the storm.
Well, I am off to have some coffee.......
