This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Actually, I had two weeks and the manager denied the 2nd week because she can't cover me next week as she's off and another one is getting married. But having a week off at home with no where to go and nothing to do is a nice rest.
Oh, gotcha Tweety! Well, thank God they didn't take both weeks away!
I like vacas where I don't have to do anything ... problem is they STILL go fast! ENJOY!~
I was good yesterday and went and walked/jogged for an hour yesterday. It was so nice because there was a storm rolling in, so there was a strong, cool wind blowing, which ticked off everybody else in town, but was quite nice for my walk/jog. Yeay!
Good for you!
Sarah congrats on all the positives in your life........sounds good.Has anyone heard from Hikernurse......haven't seen her since I got back on line
You're sweet to notice :icon_hug: I've been overwhelmed with school/work/family/graduation, but I think the fog is clearing :)
I came back to check on all of you'se and see that you're doing very well, indeed. It would take several posts to catch up, so just know I've been thinking of you and am proud of your work.
I've been pretty good this week, eating less sugar. I always forget how good that makes me feel.
Hi everyone!
Had a salad this morning (egg salad and greens), a Lean Cuisine for lunch, and fish and mashed potatoes for dinner tonight. Topped it off with a nice cup of coffee. Boy, am I stuffed.
And bushed. Tonight was another challenging night. Although the stress of the shift was softened a bit by hearing a few very nice compliments on my work from family members, patients, and even a couple of coworkers.
Must be a full moon.
I also started taking a multivitamin. Aren't I supposed to feel more energetic at some point in this process? But I'm still feeling great for about 4 hours, then I kinda slowly peter out during the shift. Oh well, I guess that's a minor issue; it'll feel better as I go along, I'm sure.
I recall that not too long ago I was getting lunch at the cafeteria, and this particular cafeteria food is just not that great. So I was eating a lot of deep fried french fries and burgers and things like that. I don't even miss it. This diet is actually saving me money as well as calories.
Hi guys! Just checkin in. Still on vacation. Haven't been as good the last couple of days (pizza, Mexican foood...). Did hit the gym yesterday, which helped. Still can get into my jeans, so that's good! One more night - we stay in Vegas at Caesar's tonight. Flying out tomorrow.
Zoe - South Beach frozen meals have veggie portions that are a little bigger, are at least one full serving and sometimes 2 depending on the meal.
Muffie - Congrats on all your hard work and the 10 #'s!!! Love your new Avatar, too.
Angie - I think that has been the biggest change for me over the last few months, the improved portion sizes. Never thought I could survive on just 1/2 cup whole wheat pasta, but now when I'm done I'm stuffed!
ER - I quit smoking in Aug. 1982, and there are still times when I want one! It's like being an alcoholic. I don't think it ever COMPLETELY goes away. Most times it does just smell disgusting, no urge, but once in a blue moon...
Tweety - good for you for hitting the gym on vacation!!! Congrats on being done with school!!!!!!!!!!! Are you going to graduation? Any thoughts on an MSN? My classes start on Monday. Gotta run now and do the orientation chat session!
Hi to everyone I missed! Will catch up more on the weekend.

Thanks Zoe!!! :)
Yeay Tweety - one week is better than none, that is for sure! I love vacations where you don't have anything planned and don't have anything you have to do - those are so relaxing! Enjoy!
Hi everyone - hope y'all are having a great day!
