Well, lucky me, I found a brand new screen door (one thing we had lost in the wind) for $5.00 - WooHoo!!!
It wasn't the screen door you lost was it?
It's only been a few days since I've been here, but I'm not even going to try to catch up, LOL. Other than . . . cute dogs, Tweety; Glad you're feeling better Blue; Congrats to all you former smokers; and Zoe--haven't you noticed that bathing suits are sized really small (well, of course they are small, but even so. . . I always end up buying a much bigger size than I wear in clothes)--I HATE buying swimming suits, I only buy them on-line, that way if I cry it's in the privacy of my own home
I ran five miles Sunday morning then went for a walk with my family up the canyon. Nice. People let their dogs run free (which is fine as long as they clean up; the dogs tend to be well-behaved, overall) which thrills some of my children, but the baby thinks they are going to eat him "Don't let doggie eat me, Mama"--as if there's a precedent for my putting him in mortal danger, LOL.
Weather's great, when my husband comes home for lunch, I'm going to try to talk him into a walk, if not, then he can watch the baby while I go Other than that, it's housecleaning and catching up on schoolwork.
... forgot to cook before bowling. So I splurged and had grilled cheese and fries at the bowling alley. Must have been a Fruedian slip that I lost track of time like that. :)
I had a (rather irritating) friend who used to say, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". She was often right - I would run out of food or time and would have to "make do" with something on the road, or whatever ...
I had a bowl of ground hamburger with hot-sauce and olives on it for supper. Uh . . . not good!
The hamb sounds ok, the rest of it - ewwww! LOL!
Have a good day :)
Zoe.....we slept with the windows open last night, is so quiet......no neighbors to speak of.
I slept so well last nite too - it's called Benadryl (chuckle)... once in a while if I take it, I will get back on schedule. I would have preferred YOUR way tho!

...
Sarah's same door - it could be, eh? LOL!
As far as the bathing suit, sigh... I should go to a "real" bathing suit store but I have this fantasy that it will only fit for a few weeks and then I will have to buy a smaller one - So I don't want to buy a real one!
Procrastination ...
Travel, sometimes breakfast just does that to you. At least you are planning on a good lunch to make up for it.
Hiker - yep, we did lose our screen door - got ripped right out of the frame. But you're right, that wasn't the main thing - the worst of it all was the shingles. I was excited to be able to replace something cheap - hehe.
Zoe - LOL - what can I say, I like weird foods, hehe.
Well, I was really good at lunch, a friend and I went out and I got the one-trip salad bar, loaded up on the lettuce and veggies, skipped the cookies, and had a little bit of soup. Yummy!!
I got on the scale today and found I have lost 2.5 lbs since last week - yeay!!! Doesn't seem like much, but this is the first time I have actually gone down instead of staying the same (or worse yet, going up) in a loooooooooooooong time! WooHoo!!! Now I feel motivated!
Hope everyone is having a great day!

But you may as well have one that fits now :) This is sort of embarassing, but when I buy swim suits, I usually buy one that fits and the next size up; that way I still have one that works even if I gain weight. But, I REALLY hate buying them :angryfire Although to be honest, it's not so much the fault of the suit . . .

:monkeydance: Great going, girl!!! All that lettuce paid off :) I'm proud of you. You must feel amazing.
And just for the record . . . I multiquoted :) I feel very smart.
Thanks Hiker! And good job, I still can't figure out how to multiquote - hehe.
Ok, a little off topic, but it is mental health I guess . . . I am sooooo excited! I just got back my grade for my (Med/Surg) Neurologic/Senses exam and I got 100%!!! WooHoo!!! Sorry if I'm driving you guys crazy, but I have to tell somebody and I don't tell my classmates because I don't want them thinking I am trying to rub it in or anything. Thanks for listening!

Telling grades is a bit like telling what your wages are - not polite ... I think it just raises a lot of bad or competitive feelings - jealousy or whatever. Well, I am proud of you, myself, and I KNOW that you have worked hard for that grade!
And just for the record . . . I multiquoted :) I feel very smart.
Indeed. :)

Congrats on everything Sarah!!! Woot! It's sad fellow students can't enjoy our vicotories without making us feel like we're showing off or something.
Good Morning healthy livers. I'm feeling great, I have to go to work today and I'm bring my own food... smoked salmon with red bell peppers, and Trader Joe bread, plus creme cheese and cilantro. Yum. See ya later!
Sounds really good. I've backed my lunch for the next two days at work. Veggie burgers, veggies and lots of berries and fresh citris from my backyard. :)
Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I really need it.Zoe.....we slept with the windows open last night, is so quiet......no neighbors to speak of.
ate a horrible breakfast, but will make up for it this afternoon.....going to volunteer at the senior meal and they always make good nutritious meals.
That's good. Sometimes 50% healthy eating is better than 0%.

Zoe, lately I've rocked at time management, but yesterday got away from me. That phrase was in this week's lecture in my management class. We're studying "planning".
Hi everryone!
I'm finally mostly healed up. A few residual sniffles, but nothing to keep me down now. Went to Curves this morning for the first time in a week and a half. Took it easy and didn't push too hard so I hopefully won't relapse. Feel fine today, drank lotsa water and have been eating well.
Sarah - all I have it say is 'blecchhhhh!'. What a combo! Hope you had a chance to shop!
Tweety - you are sounding quite relaxed these days.
Hiker - good to see you again!
Zoe - do a little surfing and look for pictures of little old ladies in ol' timey bathing suits and post THAT on your frig. I am CERTAIN you look better in your suit than someone who is 90 with one of those skirt jobs!
Gardendove - I soooooooo miss Trader Joe's!!!!! Closest one is 300+ miles, and I have on one occassion made it round trip in the same day to stock up on frozen fish!
I am in the middle of training my replacement at work (wooo hooooooo!) so I may or may not have much time to post the next couple of weeks. It should get better once she gets some of the basics down.
Will try to keep in touch!

Yes it is! You would think they'd WANT you to do well
... fresh citris from my backyard. :)
Speaking of envy --
Can you smell 'em? And do the blossoms smell pretty? (I want to enjoy these citri vicariously!)

I hope you know I wasn't putting you down but identifying :)
That really IS a good phrase tho isn't it? and applies to just about everything, oui?
Hi Healthy Ones. Today at my 12 hour shift I was able to eat on the run at the nurses station, then took my break at around 2 PM and took a half hour run! I just let the nursing supervisor know that I'd be out of the building, since I was on the code team. I feel pretty good, it was really nice to take a run for my break.
