Hi everyone!
Ahhh, the weekend at last! Much needed at this point for me. Had a Miller time moment last night, only I substituted margaritas at Chili's instead. Balanced it out with a huge salad, a new one on their menu. I don't remember the name, but it had chicken, lots of veggies, a few black beans and a splash of corn, a little drizzle of bbq sauce and some spicy ranch dressing. Very tasty! Weighed in this a.m. and I am exactly where I was a week ago. That is fine with me!! After this week at work, little exercise (tho I did make it to Curves the last 2 days) I am pleased I didn't gain!
Hey Zoe - you just might be getting more fruits/veggies than you know. The average apple is actually 2 servings, per most references I have seen. Same with bananas, unless it is a small one. The general U.S. super-size portion thing works to your advantage if you are doing it with fruits & veggies.
Muffie - you might be on to something in the motivation department with the pm'ing of veggies! :rotfl:
Tweety - are you out there? You seem pretty quiet lately, tho I do know you have a lot on your plate at the moment. Hope you are doing okay!
Hiker - your new av. is cute! I'm with you on the 'what day is it' thing when the alarm goes off, tho I don't usually have the energy to sit up while I am figuring it out!
Sarah - how's school going?
So all you guys are getting me motivated to go back to school. I need/want to do the online RN - BSN thing. My husband has been pursuing a promotion, tho that has been temporarily put on hold lately. Need to have a portable program. So far, Tweety, the school you are going to is weighing in the strongest. They have been the most helpful at getting me the info I need and making it seem easy, or at least do-able without making me go bankrupt trying. Univ. of Wy. wants me to complete the application process before they will tell me what classes they will accept, how many I need to take, etc. You have to pay to apply to figure that out? :angryfire
Not especially interested in a program with clinical time. Since we will be moving before I get finished it could prove problematic. Anyway, you guys have been very helpful in the motivation department in all areas of healthy living, even the brain function ones!
