Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!

Thanks Tweety! I know what you mean - nothing like school stress to crash a diet hard!
Ok, I have decided books on CD are the best thing ever invented! I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner - I got some at the library and am listening to them during my drive to and from school (to school an hour and a half because I leave from work - home from school an hour) - it's great because my brain feels more 'with it' than when I just listen to music the whole time. Yeay!
Off to eat a bowl of cheerios for breakfast. Have a great day everyone!
I've been bad for a few days, but back on track now. I feel so good when I'm good and so bad when I'm bad. So why am I so bad? :)
Because it feels good? lol
I think the "shame" factor really causes us to sabotage our efforts sometimes. Like, saying x food is "bad", y food is "good", and translating that to ourselves (we are "bad", or "good", depending on what we eat).
Love to you and yours Tweety!
(don't you think there should be a "Tweety" smiley?>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I started reading this book. "Healthy At 100" because it's by an author I like. He's a well-known vegan vegetarian, but his work is very well reasearched and presented. I've gotten through a few chapters and it's quite good. http://www.healthyat100.org/
LOL Tweety - I know just what you mean. I just got back from my trip to get my award in Vail and oh my gosh was I 'bad'. It's awful because now I feel like a slug. I started out yesterday pretty good, I had oatmeal with dried cranberries in it for breakfast and an apple for a snack. But then, when I was driving through Colorado Springs on my way back I could not avoid taco bell. :imbar: Oh well - we'll try again today.
Hi Zoe!
Jahra - I got to do the tape for the first time over the weekend (last weekend and then have been gone most of the week) - I have done the first and second workouts so far and absolutely loved them! It is so much fun and the kiddos love it too. Of course, they don't do the moves, but they still dance around and have a blast with it - very energizing! Thanks!
Have a great day y'all!
Hi Sarah!
So glad you and your kiddos like the tape! Really gets you moving!
Glad you had a nice trip to Colorado-welcome back!
Hi Tweety,
Every once in a while, its good to be bad. Thats why you were bad!
Thanks for the Healthy at 100 link. I had a great aunt that lived till
101. She still took the bus and went shopping at the mall by herself
at 100--she was on minimal medications and walking 2-3 miles a day.
She had quite a memory. She also would ask her son and his
wife to take her once a month to the casino so she could play cards.
She was a bright spirit in our lives and missed very much.
Hi Zoe!!!!!!!!! What's new?
Have a great weekend everyone!
