I just finished doing a 25 hr home-study course on Anger Management for my CEUs. I wish I'd found this book 20 years ago!

Everyone I know could benefit from this kind of thing.......the stress I've been feeling at work has diminished greatly now.

Consider it, even if you don't think you need it.

What is the name of the book, where'd you get it? or are you just speaking of anger management in general?

as a nurse, it is really crucial to know how to manage anger. i have experienced being shouted at by doctors, older nurses and some patients. i guess this is part of the hazards (yeah, psychological hazard i say) of being a nurse.

i just look them in the eye until they shut up. i don't take all these things personally. as nurses, it is imperative to not be sensitive. otherwise, there could be a point where we would be taking valium on a regular basis.

for relaxation, i meditate for 30 minutes before going to sleep to de-stress me for the night and to think about what i learned for the day. a meditative music or even your favorite tune could help set the mood for the meditation.

its very important that we nurses maintain a healthy psychological state.

Wow - that website has a TON on info - thanks for the reference!!!!!
