[COLOR=#000000]I would like to ask your opinion about the said agency. Anyone here who entered into contract with them recently? How was your experience with them?

Sad to say, I went through the same agony as claimed in that court case because their contract seems to be standard - contract hours exclude overtime and orientation hours; whenever you are to file a vacation, you are required to inform them of your whereabouts. Their computation of the contract hours is ridiculous to the point that my end date (and my other fellow RNs who were in contract with them too) was pushed back several times. Had to do mandatory overtime also.

Hi, Thank you for replying. Is it true that the minimum rate is $30 per hour? And will the price of buying out the contract change when I arrive there? I have no intention of buying out my contract, but just knowing that what’s stated in the initial contract might change makes me worried. Also, what if I experience the same thing when I arrive in the US, am I allowed to buy out my contract or will they sue me? Sorry for having so many questions. Reading the issues regarding their agency had me worried. My program advisor already answered my questions prior to my signing but now, I honestly don’t know if that’s reliable.

Rate depends on facility and I believe they do follow Labor standards. You definitely have an option to buy out but fee is outrageous and not pro-rata (meaning fixed regardless of where you are in your contract) unlike with other agency. Please note that the information I’m giving you is based on my contract. Yours might be different though. That’s why you have to carefully study it.
I actually tried to buy out my contract then but because of the huge fee and outright cash payment they required, I had no option but to finish my contract. Your fate though may be different from ours especially if you end up in a good facility. During my time, we were 7 RNs under HC in the same facility, 4 (including me) finished the contract, 3 opted out. All of us thought of buying out of our contract at one point. Thank God it’s over. In fairness to HC, they have good medical insurance coverage and uniform allowance. But unfortunately, the cons out balanced the pros. I hope your experience will be better and HC will make changes to their contract especially with the lawsuits they are facing.

I've read that there was a threat of deportation from one of the complainants. If I will ever buy out the contract, will they threaten me to be deported as well? Or will the buy out go smoothly even if I have no valid reason for doing so? If it’s okay, may I know what state you are in? I’m might avoid choosing the states that nurses experienced a bad treatment, if possible. Thank you for sharing your experience.

How many years did it take you to finish the contract?
3 years and 4 months which was faster than my fellow RNs that I know since I had perfect attendance then. One finished 6 months and the other 7 months after 3rd year.

Hi everyone,
I'm signed up with HC as well. Ds260 submitted. In the process of sending my documents to NVC to be documentarily qualified.
I'm yet to be scheduled for interviews with potential employers. At what stage will this happen?
Also when did you all get your visascreen? My cgfns portal is still waiting for NCLEX pass result.
From this stage onwards, how many months am I looking at before embassy interview?
Thanks very much.

Hello,
I'm surprised at the bolded, because I was told by my IDA if I work overtime, I might even be able to finish up within 2.5 years.
“Might” implies not sure. Hmm.. Speaking from my experience, that was the case - overtime hours did not count toward contract hours. Please double check your contract.

Thanks for the response
Hello, I've finally decided to sign their contract last November 2021. It's December 2022 now and im on the NVC stage. Im kind of delaying the process because I'm currently pregnant and will delivery next month. So, what I've learnt is the old and new contracts have differences regarding the counting of OT in finishing the contract (they don't in the past). Now, they said that the counting of OT is dependent on the facility. I still havent got a facility, IDK when I will have one. I've yet to have at least one interview.
For a newbie who had 2 yrs work experience 5 yrs ago, what type of facility and hospital area would you recommend?

Hi @Sophia08, I'd like to ask how many hours in a week do they only count? 36 hrs or 40 hours (excluding the overtime hours) thanks
