HCC Spring 2017 Nursing Program

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

Hi I applied for spring 2017 term and got put on the alternate list don't know what happens from here like how long till I know if I'm in or not anyone in the same boat as me

Congrats to you guys:) I started my pre-reqs at HCC (Dale Mabry & Plant City) but moved last year to a new state, and a new school (I started clinical in August.) Missing the warm weather! Good luck to you guys!

My daughter is in the same position as you. I hear that it is just a waiting game. The school is waiting on students to decline to be able to let the sudents on the alternate list in the program. She did receive encouraging words about other students in previous years that were on the alternate list getting in. So that is good. Keep your fingers crossed, chin up and pray;)

The drug test is given by the college unannounced. So I'm assuming they are going to randomly test us at some point in time. I don't think we can just take it when we want to take it.

Also, I'm going to HCC tonight so I will try and get the answers to the background check and post them here. They have to understand that we don't have the answers to questions 2 and 3.

I just turned in my papers and here are the answers for those 3 questions.

so the third question is basically going to be the same for all of us getting the background done because I'm doing everything Friday.

Has anyone been put on the alternate list? Do you have any information on how that works? When you will be notified? How long that process takes?

From previous years this is what I understand they put you on the alternate list now to see how many people will complete the steps needed by deadline October 11th and students who don't have forms completed are automatically declined and alternates go in there spots.

Thank you! So, oct 11 is the deadline for the stidents that were accepted. That is good to know. It gives me a time frame to work with at least:)
