HCC Spring 2017 Nursing Program

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

I am also applying for January I took enc 1102, human development 1004 and Microbiology so I commend you on both a&up and sociology they are easy compared to micro to me.

I to am applying for the Spring 2017 Nursing Program @HCC. I am so nervous. I am taking my last to classes this summer which are A&P II Lecture and Lab and College Algebra. What is your GPA if you dont mind me asking.

I have a 3.57 so hopefully that gets me in

I have a 3.45 but I have 2 more classes to take this summer and if I get all A's then I will possibly have a 3.5 or 3.6. Hopefully I can get in to . Fingers crossed and prayers up . What campous do you attend and I wonder why this forum isnt lit being that Application deadline is within 3 months . I have read all the other Forums driving myself insane here .'

I have also and it will once application time comes and then waiting for acceptance letters. I will have my associates in December so hopefully they go by my gpa for the program and over all. I have finished micro with a b so I am waiting to see my offical gpa for the program but enc 1101 is what brought me down since I had a c but my other classes I recieved and A. You will do great and I attend southshore and that's where I o plan on attending for the program days I take my teas on Thursday so fingers crossed haven't really had time to study so I'm praying I do ok.

Yea true. But from my understanding they only calculate the Pre-reqs GPA. So you should be good. Also you can check on your progress towards degree and see where your GPA stands. I am applying for the Dale Mabry Mornings and South Shore will be my second choice. Let me know how your Teas goes. Im going to sign up for mines soon Next month most likely.

They calculate the prerequisite off top but once you have your associated they use your overall gpa to break ties with other applicants. That's what it says on the nursing website. I just got all my final grades and I received an A in microbiology lecture and a b in the lab which is perfectly fine leaving me with a 3.62 gpa hopefully that's good enough!!

I will also be applying for the 2017 Spring semester at HCC. Im surprised there aren't more posts on this thread, I searched but i haven't seen any other thread regarding the 2017 Spring semester. Have you ladies taken the TEAS yet? I'm scheduled for June 21st, in case i don't pass i have time to take it one more time.

I also am applying and I took the teas without studying because I planned to and ended up having finals around the same time so I am taking it also in June.

I am aiming to apply for Fall 2017 because I am going to be finishing up my prereqs this fall term coming up! I am a bit nervous taking A&PII and Micro at the same time 😁😁 but at least they are both online so I can kind of go at my own pace. I feel like my application deadline is so far away and I wish I could have made it for the spring deadline 😭
