HCC Spring 2017 Nursing Program

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

Not sure. I think they would probably look at your BA degree GPA and your HCC one in order to get the final cum GPA.

I have a bachelors degree as well but the GPA that shows on webadvisor only included my HCC credits.

Hey Everyone,

I'm a bit further behind all of you since I'm just beginning my pre-req courses this fall semester. Since I will also be working through my courses at HCC I figured id join the convo...for those of you who have already gone through the A&P I and II online courses, how did you find them? I work full time (with an hour of commuting from Port Charlotte-Bradenton) and I'm considering pairing A&P I with STA 2023 (both online) for my first semester. I want to take a large enough work load without struggling to maintain a good GPA. Any input on either class I mentioned would be appreciated...

Well I don't think I could have managed taking AP1&AP2 online . these classes are so hands on . I took both classes on campus . and then with the labs that come with these classes ... You sure you wanna take them online lol to each there own . these classes can become difficult at some point . STA I feel can be manageable online if you really focus .

Haha...ya I hear you..unfortunately only online courses will work for me at this point. I need classes that I can complete around my work schedule. I'm assuming the online courses are structured in a way were the material can be understood and retained without a whole lot of "hands on" work necessary... Of course hands on is always a better choice with these classes, as you stated, but online is my only option right now. Thanks for your input.

Finally posting on here because I just turned in my application yesterday! Now playing the waiting game. Best of luck to everyone else applying!

What's your GPA looking like ? If you don't mind asking just too see what the GPA pool will look like this semester .

My pre-req GPA is currently listed at 3.42, will probably be at 3.33 once my Micro grade is counted. My GPA is only being counted out of 18 credits though. Worried that my GPA will be too low for admission, but I've read about lower GPA's getting in. Fingers crossed!

My GPA is around there too . 3.45 to be exact . I've heard even 3.3 GPAs have gotten it and not being placed as alternates . so we should have a high chance . fingers crossed !

Morning everyone . I woke up today and my documents have been received ! They are reviewing my application already ! A week early from the deadline . sooooo nervous

That is great news! I just checked mine, but my documents have not been updated yet. I know that they did receive my application because I got my self addressed post card back in the mail at the beginning of last week. One step closer :)

Hi all I have applied for the 2017 spring nursing program as well, everything seems to be received in webadvisor but my application says under review . I spoke with someone from the health sciences department who told me we would all be notified by October 1st hopefully we all get it!! Best of luck to everyonen

Hopefully we all get in . if only the month of august and September can just fly by í ½í¸ lol
