HCA New Grad Program (StaRN) at Kendall Regional (Miami, FL)

Hi Everyone!

I just got accepted into the New Graduate RN program at Kendall Regional and wanted to know if anyone else has done this program and your experiences (good, bad ect). Also, any advice???? I'm super nervous!!!

Congrats to everyone! I was just given an offer for the program that starts October 20th =) Can anyone who has been in the program tell me what the classroom and clinical hours were like. I want to take the offer but the nurse recruiter doesn't have that information, and I am afraid that I will not be able to manage childcare. The site that I would go to is 1 1/2 hours away so it makes this a little difficult. Any input would be realllly helpful! Thanks!

Classroom hours vary. Anywhere from 730-530 and your clinical hours are 12 hour shifts.

Hello I'm browsing the site and saw this post. I live in Broward close to the county line Miami-Dade camp someone direct me into getting into this program where do I start. Aventura is not far from me and Kendall regional is a 25 minute ride from my home if I take the turnpike. Can someone feel me in on the requirements please.

I would call the HR almost all HCA hospitals that I know of participates in this program although they are not always advertised. I am currently in this program not for Kendall but another hospital in Broward County. It's a great program!

I just Applied to every open position available. Had my interview today, start on October 6th for Kendall Regional step down unit. They told me that the first weeks will be in the Classroom. The recruiters name is Linniece. Very nice. Call HR.

Yes, I applied to every open RN position avaiable. Literally did over 200 applications

Usually the program is listed as StarRN for new graduate. If you see that apply to that

Hi! I'll be starting the StaRN program for Raulerson Hospital in January 2015. I have a question for people who got accepted: Did you sign a contract prior to beginning the Program? Or at least got an official offer?
