  1. I'm a brand new nurse to CV/PCU. I feel like I don't know anything. I just finished my second week on the floor and have been thinking about quiting.
  2. Lolo22 I went there and graduated in June. I can anwser your questions.
  3. Usually the program is listed as StarRN for new graduate. If you see that apply to that
  4. Classroom hours vary. Anywhere from 730-530 and your clinical hours are 12 hour shifts.
  5. You're going to be asked behavior type questions like, how do you handle a difficult patient, if your patient has a terminal illness and the family asked you not to disclose it with the patient what would you do? They are looking to see how you can handled a stressful situations. Good luck! :)
  6. I'm actually going over my hurst book now. I take my exam next Friday. I actually feel better at practicing tons of questions and going over content I'm not fully sure about.
  7. I just received a phone call from Jennifer that a spot opened up for the program and she offered it to me!!! I'll be starting Aug. 25th! So excited! :)
  8. I wasn't accepted. I guess I'll wait for the next go around. Congratulations to all of you who made it.
  9. Okay, thanks. I still haven't heard anything yet, but I also haven't received a email saying that I hadn't gotten it either. I'm thinking what might be holding up my process is that I don't take my NCLEX til the 15 and that could possibly make them decide not to go with me. Owell fingers cross, and congratulations in getting in. :)
  10. Just curious did u apply at Brandon Regional? I interviewed for a PCU position. I was told I would know by Friday if I had got a spot, but instead a received an email saying she was still finalizing offers and she would contact me Monday. Now I'm nervous I didn't get it.
  11. Well, I had my interview today and although I feel I did good; I found this to be my most difficult interview yet. I didn't get open ended questions. I was asked about 20 different behavioral based questions. They were looking for a problem and how I handed it. They want you to base these questions of off your clinical experiences. I should know by the end of this week if I got accepted. Keeping my fingers crossed.
