I got really sick at the end of last semester (my first semester) 4 days in ICU, 7 days in hospital total. I had to take an incomplete in classes. I have not been granted medical clearance to go back to school in spring semester. The MD said i can take theory but no hands on or clinical. The schools says i cant separate them. I have to wait until fall:shy:.
I know i should keep reading the material from class so i can retain. I suck at online class/independent study. There is a adult school near me that has super duper cheap MA classes. Do you think it would be worth my time?

I understand your wish to not feel left behind and not wanting to waste almost half a year, but the best thing for you to do right now is to focus on getting a full recovery. I don't know about the current state of your condition but taking a MA course is only going to delay your recovery. You are going to work as a nurse once you graduate, so there is not much importance in getting a MA certificate now. I would recommend reading your nursing books and maybe start looking at NCLEX questions when you feel like it. The priority right now is to regain your health and stay familiar with the nursing topics, so you can start your next semester in the fall in your best shape.

A career as an AHIMA certified ICD 10 coder is another option and your nursing credits will put you ahead of your peers.
If you complete your RN at some point, you would have no trouble finding employment as an RN coder.
Thanks i will look for Icd class
