This year for our exit HESI exam, we are having a review that is going to be given by the HESI corporation. It obviously sounds like it will be an effective review. It's for 3 days! Has HESI reviewed for anyone else? How was it and in what ways did it help?

We had a HESI review, the materials were from HESI but our instructors taught the class over a 4 day period. I noticed the questions that they ask in the HESI review are much easier than the HESI CD questions and also the actual test. Just remember it's a review, you're not going to know all of the information, but you will know most of it. You'll also figure out what areas you need to review personally for yourself. Good luck to you!

I just got back from a Hesi review...it was awful. I hope it helps you but...she read from the book, did a few Q's...very easy ones, & I thought it was a waste of time & $$$$$. We had to go school requirement. We tried to get her to quit reading & focus on test Q's & test taking tips to no avail. All she would say is I have to get through all this material......I can read!:angryfire
I sure hope yours is better.

we had HESI tests for each course and the final HESI was nothing like the questions on the CD nor many knowledge ones. Most of the questions I did not even know what they try to get out of us. My class stuided so many sources...I dont know how much the review would help. I just studied Saunder's and HESI review book.

The link above shows this one school in napa valley where two students were dropped out of their nursing programs because they didn't score the required number in order to graduate and receive their diplomas. Well they ended up fighting it and hiring an attorney and they two students won their case. I'm telling every student nurse who's been robbed of their money, time, dignity, and what not...should hire an attorney and fight the system. As nurses and future nurses we all should not only be advocates for patients but also advocates for ourselves!! We nurses need to stand up for one another and this HESI thing is actually getting worldwide. There are many other links that shows other schools going through the same thing. Not just California but other states such as: Florida, Illinois, Texas, and etc.
Who's with me on this??!??

In our last semester of the nursing program, we also were requred to pass the ATI test and score 60% or above, if we didn't, well...we wouldn't graduate.

Again, there is a HESI pract Test which is a web based program. If you ever have heard about the EVOLVE.ELSEVIER page, try it... you will have access to gazillion of questions and get ready to pass HESI with no problems. YOu can get it at Barnes& Noble. The name is HESI PRACT TESt. THey sell it together with the HESI review book.

Do you have any more info on this subject? In the class ahead of me, who graduated 3 months ago, only 2 passed the HESI. The others still have not been able to pass it, therefore cannot sit for the NCLEX. Any links you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.
