Is rue a company that anyone can give me any advice about? Is this a reliable company that really helps you while you are in the nursing program at excelsior.

You don't need those 3rd party publishing companies... you can go through excelsior directly. Save your money

There are a number of older threads here discussing people's experiences with and opinions of RUE. You may want to do a search and read them, if you haven't already. Best wishes!
Sorry, my post should read DON"T USE THEM, sorry. Save your money

They are an aggressive publishing company nothing more. You don't need them to do Excelsior. Stay away.

If you want to use books from a publishing company like this or TCN just buy them second hand. Some people are in debt paying back the College Network and their loan is equaled to the amount their would be tuition for the bridge program for Excelsior

If you're not already signed up with RUE, I agree with everyone else - it really is kind of a waste of extra money! Go directly through Excelsior. You can sign up on the website and download the nursing catalog and see the classes you'll probably need - take CLEP or DSST for the prereqs like Intro to Sociology, Intro to Psychology, Humanities, Life Span Development, etc. If you can take anatomy and micro at a traditional college, you should due to the lab components, and they have info lit at LSU for $182 compared to EC $400, math you can get through Straighterline or Aleks I think. Get books on Amazon or eBay or just ask around, sometimes other students are selling theirs for cheap and occasionally giving them away. For the nursing courses you could try studygroup101 which I used and I do highly recommend. If you have already signed up with Rue, don't worry. I am sure they are adequate for passing the courses and if you do a search you should be able to find other students who are using them. Good luck!
Also check out a thread which I think is under the LVN section called "the College Network, help plezzz" or something like that. TCN & Rueoperate pretty much the same way.
