I am new to this site and have only posted a few times. But I am really happy that I have read and re-read some of the threads because it saved me a lot of head ache and heart ache not having to deal with TCN and Rue. I recently passed micro and had read several posts that there were quite a few people that took the Excelsior practice exams and didn't do that great, but, after a lot of studying, took the "real" test and passed. My question is this...has anyone done a&p recently and had the same experience? (not doing well on the practice exams, but studying enough to take and pass the test). There is so much info to absorb and I want to make sure that I am on target but I am wondering if this is the case for anyone that has already taken and passed this section. Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi LPN2RNLIZ,
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I feel really Overwhelmed with all of the information that has to be memorized. I try to take notes and shorten each paragraph but, I feel like everything is important. Do you or anyone reading this thread have any advice on how you studied all this information? PLEASE HELP
Just passed that exam a couple of weeks ago. I really studied the recommended book and took the practice exams early on and studied them. Don't freak if you get a terrible grade on them, but it gives you an idea of where to study in the book. I also got an old TCN book off e bay. Good Luck!!
I scored 48% on practice test a and 58%on B.Pass with A, so dont be scared its possible
Congratulations on your success :woot:!! I was SOOO ready to take this exam on 7/17/2014. Arrived at the testing site 30 minutes early, had my nerves in check, and came to find out that I hadn't changed my test date.
Now I am preparing to take this exam in about two weeks, since I have already started studying for the Transitions exam. Best of success to you all!
