  1. to MandyLPN: Are you referring to Study group 101 or the course outline from the college and reading in the material. I am trying to finish FCCa head-to-toe. Thanks
  2. Sorry to hear this. I am in a similar situation after this morning. Found out a few tidbits of info after talking to an advisor this morning as well. Much tougher than I thought. Nancy
  3. In the opinion of those that have done it.... what is the best prep for CPNE? and what is a realistic time frame? I have heard about the "prep" classes offered by different people, but would just like an opinion of those that have done it. Second, when you get placed on a cancellation list for CPNE, is it with only one testing site, or with whichever has an opening? Thanks
  4. I have just finished my last theory exam and have registered for both January FCCA courses. Just looking for advise from anyone who has completed these as to whether they are able to be done at the same time. If you have completed them, how did you do and how much time did each section take (realistically). Thanks
  5. Just passed a& p. after 5 weeks of studying. That was a challenging test. Now finishing up human growth and development. Then onward and upward. Glad that is done!!!
  6. I took about 7 weeks to finally feel comfortable with taking the micro test. My scores were 32-49, then I took the test 2 weeks after the 49 and made a B. A&P is sooo much to absorb, but I think I am finally getting close. Good luck on Tuesday, I am sure you will do fine.
  7. Thanks for this info. It is hard to not get discouraged after scoring 50's on the practice exams, but that is exactly what happened to me on the micro practice exams, then I take the test and score a B. It seems that the wording on the actual tests are a little easier to interpret. Anyway, thanks for your response.
  8. I am new to this site and have only posted a few times. But I am really happy that I have read and re-read some of the threads because it saved me a lot of head ache and heart ache not having to deal with TCN and Rue. I recently passed micro and had read several posts that there were quite a few people that took the Excelsior practice exams and didn't do that great, but, after a lot of studying, took the "real" test and passed. My question is this...has anyone done a&p recently and had the same experience? (not doing well on the practice exams, but studying enough to take and pass the test). There is so much info to absorb and I want to make sure that I am on target but I am wondering if this is the case for anyone that has already taken and passed this section. Thanks in advance for any input. Nancy
  9. I am also trying to get ready for the micro exam. I have taken both practice exams with a 32 then a 49. I have read, re-read, highlighted the Study 101 notes, and also listened to vangonotes. I just don't want to have to take the 8 week on-line course for 1275. Any tips on what to expect on the test without breaking any rules would be greatly appreciated.
