I am about to take the Hesi exam exit and I was wondering if anyone has purchased the HESI exam manual or CD-rom. I wanted to know if it was helpful and worth the 85.00. I would appreciate any comments concerning the Hesi exam.

I have not taken the exit HESI, but we have to take one after every completed nsg class. I will take one today in psych :chair: Some of my classmates did buy the CD & said it did not help that much. I have passed mine so far & my instructor said you either know the info or you don't. Good Luck to both of us!!

I had to take the HESI to be allowed to finish my program. I took it the first time in Dec and did not meet the minimum for my school so I had to take it again, took it Valentines day. It covered a lot of stuff, psych, cardiac, drugs(5questions), med surg, geriatric, peds and everything. I was kinda blown away by it, i had 165 questions and it took me over 1.5 hours to finish the test the first time, the second time, I only had 85 questions and finished in under an hour.

The first time I took it I scored 894 and the second time I scored a 1041(by the grace of the good lord) and am just excited about not taking it anymore!

I did not buy the study manual or the CD-I used my nclex books, and CD's to study for the Hesi.

The HESI is very nit picky-a lot of stuff was prioritizing, like assessment stuff and that sort of thing.

Hope this is helpful in some way!

Everyone in my program has to take the HESI exam (for diagnostic purposes) and pass before we are eligible for graduation in May. I guess the only reason we are required to take the test is because ever since my school implemented it, they have had a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX.

I am kind of apprehensive because I haven't taken it yet and I'm not sure what to expect besides for the fact that I do know it is kind of pricey. I didn't think other people took it.....hmmmm xox kell

Is the HESI the same as the ERI RN Assessment Exam? That's the one we have to take in order to graduate. What's the difference?

Hi! We just took our exit HESI last week...one girl in our class bought the CD and passed it around. Once you install it on your computer, you don't need the disk anymore. Maybe your classmates would all go in on it together? We all used it and found it a fairly good review; none of the questions were the same as the actual test, but it never hurts to get more practice. I was freaking out b/c I was doing terrible on the practice tests, but passed with a 1212 (min of 900 to pass) the first time. We only had 2 fail the first time, and they are practicing alot now, so I'm sure they'll pass 2nd time around. I wouldn't say the HESI was hard, but it was harder than the ones we had to take at the end of each class. Good luck to you!

Did they tell you the score in percentage form? What is a 900? We have our Hesi Friday and I am freaking out.
