Just Wondering If Anyone Got A Letter. I Was Hoping It Would Come Early.
Hi, i havent posted on here in a while. Do you have to be a straight A student to get into NS? Or if you get a gpa thats say 3.5 does that mean that you get put on the waiting list but are accepted, or are you just regected outright? I dont get it because the criteria show a C as the minimum req in some classes.Someone help me understand this.
Well, nursing acceptance used to be first come first serve, but now OCC is doing it GPA based, so it's very competitive. I don't know what the GPA you need is - but I heard from someone it was 3.4+ and I heard from another person it was 3.7+, so I'm not sure really
so i just got back from the p.o. and i was ACCEPTED! i had btw a 3.6-3.7 also.
the letter contains 3 pages in a regular sized envelope. the 1st one is the acceptance letter, then one form to fill out saying whether you accept/decline acceptance and another form asking whether or not you want to enroll in pharmacology in summer I or in the fall. both forms must be turned in by mar. 31.
i'll prob take pharmacology in the summer to even out my course load.
congrats to everyone who got accepted.
Perhaps those who were not accepted this month may be called if someone decides to delay their entry for another year, or change their minds about entering the program at all. Does OCC do that? Notify people at the last minute to see if they want to wiggle in? WCCCC does that. Situations change for people. A 3.5 GPA is pretty darn good.....hang on! Things may change for you. Have faith. :wshgrt:

If you get a GPA below the cutoff point you will be rejected. There is no waiting list. This is a competitive program. C is the minimum because anything below that will not transfer.
