  1. Both GPAs were taken into account when I applied. They weighed the pre-req GPA more than the overall. My overall was also lowish, but my pre-req was very high. Good luck!! PM me if you have any questions :)
  2. I would be happy to PM you! Are you doing traditional or CD2? If you're doing traditional, I would probably do honors and join student council along with SNA :)
  3. I say WSU! I'm currently a student there and love it. Let me know if you have any questions :)
  4. I didn't take any classes at Wayne! Are you applying to CD2 or traditional? Currently I'm in CD2 and my prereq GPA was around yours but my overall GPA was lower. Let me know if you have any questions! I wish you the best of luck ☺
  5. I'm currently in the Wayne State Accelerated program and due to graduate this December. Let me know if you have any questions about the process! I have a few friends who went to Oakland, but can't personally speak on behalf of their nursing school. So far, I'm loving WSU :)
  6. I'm currently almost half way through CD2. Feel free to PM me if you'd like! Due to the intensity of the program, I'm not sure you'd have sufficient time for research, but I'm sure there are opportunities.
  7. I just started Wayne State and absolutely love it!! Because I already have a Biology degree, I am doing their accelerated CD2 program which will just take 16 months. I definitely suggest taking Pharmacology and Pathophysiology before the program. I didn't know they allowed it until after I started and people in my clinical weren't in class with me. It'll save you money (if you take it at HFCC) and give you a lighter load. Let me know if you have any questions about the process - I'm happy to help! :)
  8. Thanks again! I did get your message and responded to your PM :)
  9. Did any of you get accepted?! I'm on the waitlist for now... really hope I can get in!
  10. I hope so! I had my interview last Tuesday... not sure if it was the last round of interviews? When was yours? I know orientation is July 11 - hopefully we can be future classmates! :)
  11. Hey everyone! I just got an interview invite for this Tuesday. I am so excited, but also very nervous! Any other CD2 applicants out there? I'd love to know how your interviews went! :) This has been a grueling, but rewarding process so far!! :)
  12. I am a pre-nursing student and I think that the CNA program was really helpful to prepare and get you ready for nursing school. However I haven't actually entered my program yet but I still think its a good way to go. You get experience in the medical field before nursing clinicals and learn a lot about nursing on the way.The good thing about it is that CNA will give you a good feel for what nursing is. Good luck dwilhelm!
  13. When is the letter due by? I haven't gotten it since I'm going to school in Ann Arbor, and my dad has work after the postmen come. I don't know what to do - and I'm pretty sure I got in because my GPA was 3.95
  14. I heard that 3.612 was the initial cutoff, but once they admitted students to the new accelerated program, it got pushed back to ~3.4. And I'm with you guys! I'm living in Ann Arbor going to school here, but I keep calling my dad to see if the mail has come yet. :)
  15. Don't be nervous. The only thing that stinks is that the admission process is out of your hands until March :)
