How long does it take to get endorsed in IL?
I have an RN license in Michigan, but I am interested in possibly moving to Chicago. Im guessing the answer is yes, but do you have to have your Illinois license before you apply to jobs? Or will they still interview you/consider you with an out of state license?

New grad needing advice for cardiac interview
I also have an interview this Thursday for a Cardiothoracic unit. I have applied to tons of jobs and this is my first interview so I want to nail it! I was thinking that there was going to be a lot of knowledge based questions, but you guys seem to think this is unlikely? Ive been brushing up on all my cardiac stuff just in case. Not really sure what to anticipate! Good luck on your interview!

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
Ok....so I am getting the "good" pop up but I feel there is NO way this can be right. I took the test today and it shut off at 75 questions. I feel like I did terrible on the test. I honestly guessed at the majority of the questions and thought it was extremely difficult. I am, of course, praying that you guys are all right!!! I will let you know when I find out!

OCC accelerated ADN program
The program is for the people accepted for Sept. 2008. So the program will start one month from now! I would think that the program would also be available next year too.

OCC accelerated ADN program
The accelerated program is a new partnership between OCC and Detroit Medical Center. 60 students are going to be accepted based on GPA. It will start this May, instead of Sept. And end in Aug. of 2009 , instead of April of 2010. You will also do all your clinicals at DMC hospitals. I am going to try to do it. I really want to get in but I have to admit that the thought of starting school next month is terrifying!!

OCC Priority Registration
You can also take those classes in the fall too. Even though the deadline is a few days before the classes end they will wait for your grades. Also, the day after payments are due, get on a 7:00 a.m. and check classes. If people dont pay by that date they automatically get dropped. That is how I usually got into all my classes at OCC. Good luck. Let me know if that doesnt make any sense.

Accepted!
I got mine in the mail also today!!! I got in and I am so glad to have that weight off my chest!!!!

How would you rate RN school
Trauma1rn, you mentioned that you got a job as an aide before you started school and I was wondering how you went about doing this?? I am hopefully starting the program this fall and want to start working in a hospital now. I have no medical experience so I am nervous I wont be able to find a job. Also, I noticed a lot of hospitals dont post assistants/student nurses jobs on their websites.... I know this is a little off subject but I would appreciate any advice :)

Oakland Community College
Yeah, I feel you on that one BandAidMaid!! I am already completely obsessed with the mail!!! I am hoping it comes way earlier than March 15..I cant stand the suspense! I am totally at a loss for what the cutoff will be for GPA. I have a 3.7 and the counselor I spoke with when I applied seemed confident that would get in. I guess all we can really do is wait and I see. I would be shocked though if it were as high as a 3.7, because really that figures out to be an A- average and those classes are hard! Best of luck to you! We will all have to let eachother know when we start receiving our letters!!!

OCC prenursing
I have a question...what does CLEP mean? It sounds like it means you are able to test out of the classes...does anybody have more information about this? What classes are you able to do this for and how do you go about doing it? I am also an OCC student and it would be great to be able to get out of taking some of the pre-req!
