I called OCC today and asked them when the letters would be sent out, and the lady told me sometime next week.

yea, they told me they will send them Monday after the 15th.

People who applied to OCC - what was your overall GPA? I'm getting A's right now, but I'm getting a B+ in Chemistry, should I drop it to increase my chances on getting into nursing school? Thanks! :)

I am also waiting on a letter. I spoke with them about 2 weeks ago and it sounded like they would NOT be sent out any sooner than the very last minute. I am thinking we may have them on Monday....or possibly they will go out on Monday.

As far as dropping a B+ in Chemistry, I would wait and see how the GPA's look for those of us trying to get in for 2008. I don't think one B+ should keep you out.

If you want write me after March 19th and I can give you a really good idea where the cut off was.:redbeathe

Hi, i havent posted on here in a while. Do you have to be a straight A student to get into NS? Or if you get a gpa thats say 3.5 does that mean that you get put on the waiting list but are accepted, or are you just regected outright? I dont get it because the criteria show a C as the minimum req in some classes.

Someone help me understand this.

BandAidMaid, my GPA is between a 3.6-3.7 and I just received a letter that I was accepted. If I were you I would not drop the class I would be satisfied with a B+, but I would continue to good grades and try to get as many A's as you can to keep your GPA as high as possible.

I got my acceptance letter about 1 hour ago. I had just over a 3.7 gpa. Maybe you will find other to post here to give you an idea as the letters are sent out.
