Hi I just want a locum job in Ireland or Scotland for a couple months. Do they do that and where can I look? Most agencies say I have to be there for two years. Thanks

Read the UK threads to understand the hoops you have to jump through to be able to work in the UK or Eire.
What citizenship do you have?

You'd think with the NHS been spread so thinly they'd be crying out for nurses, but there are a host of legal hoops to jump through. WHat do you need to know exactly? What is this for - just for the experience?
I am a Canadian but Australian trained nurse
I just want the experience and always wanted to do a bit of travelling nursing
First hiring priority is to UK nationals, followed by EU citizens.
Registration evaluation is expensive and lengthy. Not worth it for a temporary job. Like I said earlier, search the UK threads

If you can get registration in Ireland you MAY be able to get short fill via an agency but it is not like Australia where there are massive shortages rural and remote as well as the Safe Care Act which mandates patient ratios. You could also look into nursing on the rigs in the North Sea. I looked into that at one point from Ireland 10 years ago but ended up in Australia for "a year" 10 years ago and never left....
