I was just looking and it showed 65 guests and 31 users. All I can say is WOW! Ok, stop hiding and post already. We can't get to know any of you if you keep on lurking!
I came out of the 'woodwork' last night to find that I share a name with someone that some here apparantly don't like anymore.
My name is banned in the Off Topic forum and doesn't even show up. I've never heard of that happening before and I've visited a lot of bulletin boards.
....maybe I'll just slink back into the woodwork where its safe.

Okay, I am one of those "lurkers." LOL. I am thinking of going to Nursing school because it is what I have wanted to do for such a long time, but none of the schools in my area offered evening programs. Now a local Community College has started an evening program, so I was trying to decide if I want to give it a shot. I am 40 years old and wasn't sure if that was too old to start the program, so I came here to read the different posts and find out more from the people who actually work in the field. Your opinions mean more than an outsider who has never actually been there - done that. I felt uncomfortable posting since I'm not a nurse, which is why I was a guest for so long.
This is a great bb and you have all been such a wealth of information (even to us ghosts)!

I want one of those jobs!
I've been a nurse for ten years in various settings. I never even have time to pee or get a lunch.
OK, I'll confess. I've got one of those "cushy" jobs where I check in on the BB at work. I just finished writing a presentation on CHF for laypeople and I'm working on one on pediatric trauma. This is my "sanity break". And yes, the BB information as been more than helpful to me at work. If I'm posting a thread asking for information to help me in my job, I'm always up front about why I need the help. The BB has been helpful to me in maintaining current standards in practice areas that are a little out of my realm (I'm a CNS with a background in cardiovascular critical care, but I'm covering a whole hospital right now). I'm a little cautious about posting since I was "outed" once at work, but I go through spurts of posting, then hanging back. (And no, I haven't peed or had lunch. )

Sorry to burst a conspiracy theory bubble of ya'lls.)
I did not feel that there was a conspiracy or clique. There are a lot of boards that have people there that have been friends for a long time and that do not open up easily or quickly to newbies. I understand that, I was just making a comment about why I was hesitant about posting and not lurking for a while. When I am new, it takes me a while to open up to others also. I meant nothing by the comment.
