Has anyone heard of Career Care Institute?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this board and was wondering if anyone has either been to, or heard of Career Care Institute in Ventura County Ca. I went there on Friday and I took the entrance exam. It all seemed to go a little fast, but I was really excited and wanted to get in. I did good on the exam only to find out the cost is $25,000. Yikes, I am supposed to go in and apply for finacial aid and hope for the best. What do you recommend I do??? I don't think I will get that much aid. Is this the typical cost of Private Vocational Schools? . If anyone has any advice I would much appreciate your input! Thanks! :clown:

CCI is actually a wonderful school. They did not loose their accreditation, they were actually approved by a better one that allowas them to now get their RN bridge program and full RT license. They have had some employees that have done them wrong unfortunately but those people have been weeded out. That school is full of heart and tries very hard to do its best for the students. Of coorifice people will have their own opinions, but a lot of the negative comments you hear are from a few disgruntled ex-students that did it to themselves. How often do people really get on and post good comments? i mean its a fact of life. You will always hear whats wrong and needs to be fixed before you hear what is going well. Passing rate for NCLEX was actually above 75%. So if your considering CCI I suggest you look into it your self. They are making nothing but positives changes for the school. The staff really cares about their students.

Hi! Please could you give me more information about CCI at Ventura Campus.

How much is the cost? How long is the program for? Part time or Full time?

Also IF anyone has heard about PMCI at Westlake.

I dont know about the Ventura campus but Lancaster is horrible. My wife goes there and we have had nothing but problems. I am able to help her learn being that I am a Firefighter/Paramedic. They treat the students unevenly and suspend everyone when there is a problem whether you did something or not. The school is too pricy and they messed up financial aid and lied to us about the help we would get. Poor education and racial profiling. She will not be going there for any future programs. I suggest going anywhere else but there!!!!

I was wondering where you got your information from regarding this school? Were you a student or and instructor?

This is for TheCommuter did you attend there or instruct at CCI?

No. Read the first page of this discussion to see my responses. . .

What a coincidence. I was born and raised in Ventura County, more specifically Oxnard.

I haven't heard of Career Care Institute, but I did attend a private LVN school in Van Nuys that cost $20,000. $18,000 to $27,000 is the going rate for private LVN schools in Southern California.

You obviously know alot about this school to the contrary of the posts so I thought you had first hand experience with this school. Thank you.

I think you might possibly be getting two different members confused.

You asked me (TheCommuter) if I attended or instructed at CCI when my posting history on this discussion clearly indicates that I know nothing about this school.

I am wondering if you are looking at the single post by 'CCI ROCKS' and are inadvertently mistaking this member for me.

Yes not the same two. Was asking the CCI Rocks. Thanks

Had the incorrect Commuter do you have person experience with CCI? Thank you.

No, I do not.

Perhaps you should check those numbers again. This school is in trouble with a capital T at this point so "due diligence".
