Hi, I have 2 more quarters to go for my LPN from Columbus State and went in to talk to the head of the head of our program, Naomi (sweetest woman ever!), about the 1 year transition into the RN program here at CSCC and was shocked and disappointed to learn that it would be '14 before I would even start and that is if I get excepted. I would like to do distance learning to be done sooner and would any of you know of a good distance college that offer the one year bridge for ADN? I have checked into Excelsior College and they look pretty good, yet the critisisms I see have to do with almost impossible standards they have for their clinical and you would have to pay $2000 more than once to get through it. Any thoughts?
hi! i just took health safety today so i'm relatively new too. i just googled studyguide101 and got the website. paid for all nursing guides and had them sent on 1 disc. i just used that and the practice exams, studied lightly for 2 wks and got an a!! the practice exams are a must. a few qs are right off of it but gives you a definite idea of what they will be like. also from what i found out and what i have read on here don't be surprised if your exam scores are 70s and you do great on the test :) you pay for the exam on excelsior, wait 2 days for your authorization number and then schedule your test through pearson vue (closest to you), when it's convenient for you. you get your grade immediately after you are done testing which is great! avoids unnecessary anxiety. think i'm going to do transitions next. keep in touch
okay great! sounds good. feeling alot better about this. thanks, i will definitely keep in touch during this journey.:monkeydance:. as soon as my material arrive i will for sure be on it!
Ispearson the only company they use for testing? The nearest one near me is 90 min away
Yep, unfortunately. I had to commute 75 miles in DC traffic for my exams; I just made a day out of it, complete with a trip to my favorite mall nearby for retail celebration after passing my exams. It's worth the drive!
