  1. Congrats!! :yeah:That's wonderful. I bet it is an amazing feeling.
  2. Congrats!!! Studying for Health Differences now. Think I'm saving Repro for last since it should be my easiest..work maternity and teach prenatal class. So do you think the 2 you failed were the hardest of all? I'm going to do Chronicity after this one.
  3. Thanks! I studied 10 days but devoted all free time to it. I did make some of my own flashcards on the leaders and religious orders since I just couldn't seem to absorb them.

I'm only using Studygroup101 and the practice tests through Excelsior. I have a friends study guides from Chancellor's but haven't used them yet. I've read my people say they get books off Amazon or ebay. I've only taken Health Safety and Transition to the Professional Role so far but got As . Study time depends totally on how much you can devote to it. I didn't study for too many days (6 and then 9) but spent all my free time studying then. I'm banking on the rest being harder. Good luck!!
  5. Thanks everyone...I GOT AN A!!! Yay!! Super glad it's over too. Scheduling Health Differences for 2wks :)
  6. Taking Transition tomorrow . Will never be more glad in my life to have a test over with!! Holy miserable studying! 66% on first practice test and 71% on 2nd. I know they are not exactly indicative of the grade you will receive but they sure don't help your confidence levels :uhoh21: I'll let y'all know how it went :)
  7. I got a loan through Sallie Mae. They do have repayment plans where you can defer repaying until you are done or just pay the interest until you're done. Good luck!
  8. I sent you a pm :)
  9. Oh I've been out for almost 10 so I'm stuck taking it!! I'll be anxious to hear what you think of Chronicity!
  10. Congrats!! I take it Thurs. How was it? Studying this is boring me to tears! I have finished Health Safety too but will be taking Health Differences next. Good luck!
  11. I took the practice exam before studying and got a 73%, then after I got a 71% so I was discouraged too but went and took it anyway. I got an A on the test so I agree that the scores are not a fair representation of what your grade will be. Although I would study some more, 50 seems kind of low. The practice exams are a great resource though. Good Luck!!
  12. Googled StudyGroup 101 and bought the disc off of their site. Sorry missed that in my reply.
  13. I am. I downloaded the Study content guide off of Excelsior. Only took me 2 weeks for the first test. Dont' expect all to be that easy. I bought StudyGroup 101.
  14. I don't think Excelsior offers a straight LPN to BSN. Pretty sure you must go ASN first. Just took my 1st test, got an A From what I have read (and I research like a crazy person) if you really feel you need the College Network study material get it off ebay. MUCH cheaper. Many go with the StudyGroup101 notes and the practice exams are very helpful. College Network is a middle man. They simply sell study materials but with contracts involved. No more no less. I had schooling for nursing straight out of high school, 15 years ago, LPN school 9 years ago and I'm falling right back into the zone. If you are disciplined enough to learn the material it is a nice option. There are much more qualified people on here that have finished the program to help you out too. Good luck with your decision
  15. Hi! I just took Health Safety today so I'm relatively new too. I just googled StudyGuide101 and got the website. Paid for all nursing guides and had them sent on 1 disc. I just used that and the practice exams, studied lightly for 2 wks and got an A!! The practice exams are a must. A few qs are right off of it but gives you a definite idea of what they will be like. Also from what I found out and what I have read on here don't be surprised if your exam scores are 70s and you do great on the test :) You pay for the exam on Excelsior, wait 2 days for your authorization number and then schedule your test through Pearson Vue (closest to you), when it's convenient for you. You get your grade immediately after you are done testing which is great! Avoids unnecessary anxiety. Think I'm going to do Transitions next. Keep in touch
