Hi everyone! I was recently hired for the NICU at Harbor-UCLA new grad program, starting in March 2025. Im super excited to begin this journey and would love to connect with others who are also starting in March!
If youre in the same cohort (or have any insight on what to expect), feel free to comment or message me.

Does anyone know when the cohort is expected to begin?
When I interviewed it said March, May, August, October, December? I think those were the month. Their residency program ongoing because they don't precept for a long time vs other hospital that does a whole year in their program.

Oooh. What in the likelihood of getting into the March residency?

Not sure if you attempted, but I did a follow up email to those that I interviewed with. Just saying thanks for their time and look forward to hearing back blah blah blah. They were the ones that told me they put in an offer for me to HR and to just await for HR to send the official offer.
Maybe you can try this to see their response, if you haven't yet.

No I haven't heard anything back. I talked a recruiter this morning. They said the manager has only responded to them about the people that interviewed last Tuesday. I interviewed on Thursday. So I'm still waiting to hear back. My interview felt rushed. It was very fast. So IDK

Hopefully all goes well! Do you mind me asking what kind of questions they asked you?

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why do you want to work at Harbor-UCLA?
3. What do you think you'll struggle with as a new grad nurse?
4. Tell me about a time you faced a challenge and how you handled it.
5. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
These were the questions I got when I interviewed on Thursday, 2/13. The manager emailed me to tell me I got the position and to wait for HR to send out my official offer letter.

I heard back from those that interviewed me Tuesday last week. They said that the recruitment team in HR are a bit behind, and to be patient. She informed me that I will receive an offer!
