Hello Everyone,
I am so excited and blessed to be in the position to say like so many others I passed the NCLEX RN with 75 questions. I tested on Aug 28, one of the scariest days of my life.This feeling is so surreal, the feeling of knowing all of the hardwork finally paid off is overwhelming. I'm not a regular on AN but this site has definitely kept me motivated and focused these last 2 mons of studying. Its great to be able to network with so many people experiencing the same thing with the same goal in mind, becoming that great NURSE:nurse:!!!! I greatly appreciate EVERYONE that took the time out to post notes, answer a question or even offer words of encouragement. Little do u know, you guys are helping so many others.
As far as preparing for NCLEX, I used to PDA Lacharity,NCLEX 3500(good select all that apply) Saunders,Kaplan QB, and the study guide not endorsed by AN. Personally, I feel PDA was the BEST. If your not so hot on content review Saunders, but be careful not too read too much,I found myself overwhelmed after a while. If anything atleast complete the questions after each chapter. Kaplan(im kinda neutral):(I really think they did a great job of lowering my confidence especially the sample tests,so random. My highest on all seven was a 60. I didnt complete the last one because it was too overwhelming,if anything just complete the qb and actually understand the rationales.
Last words of advice be confident and positive, ATTITUDE is Everything. Relax, I recommend staying away from this website a day or 2 before the test,sometimes seeing that others have passed or failed can lower ur confidence.Also, look at the study guide, it saved me on atleast 5 questions. Know your Safety/Infection control, Prioritization, Delegation,cardiac meds, and EKG strips.(I had 5).
Good luck to EVERYONE and give NCLEX all U got!!!
It Time to PAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRTYYYY!!!:yelclap::w00t::cheers:

Thanks everyone I really appreciate the support. I'm starting a new job later this month.I'm excited and nervous at the same time!!
To answer a couple of questions, I used the study guide that someone was was kind enough to upload to AN, you can easily find it by typing it in the search log. Also, I think you can PASS without Kaplan, I think Lacharity and NCLEX 3500 or 4000 was GREAT! At any rate, whatever you use make sure u understand the rationales and the importance of priority and your safety and infection control, the SG had good mneumonics. If your not so hot with content, review Saunders, but dont read too much. Everytime I felt myself getting overwhelmed I watched a youtube video to reinforce what Iv'e learned. Good Luck to everyone testing, feel free to ask me anything:redpinkhe
