Hi Everyone!

My husband is being relocated to Lackland AFB in Sep and I would like to get a jump start on getting info on LVN-RN bridge programs out in San Antonio. I was wondering if Hallmark college is a for-school and if they have a bridge program. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I did look on their website since the BON stated it was a bridge program, but I don't see anything on the website stating that. Thank you very much!

I live in SA TX and I see many commercials for nursing schools. I never have seen one for Hallmark and Nursing. I know Galen has an LVN-RN bridge program since my cousin is in that program right now. Good Luck.

San Antonio College (CC) has a well regarded bridge program than has been in place for a very long time. I believe that they still have an articulation agreement with UTHSC-SA School of Nursing also... which means that credits will easily transfer when you are ready to move on to a BSN. SAC is also MUCH less expensive than commercial (for profit) schools. Alamo Colleges : San Antonio College : Academics : Programs : Nursing

Some friends of mine checked out Hallmark and they don't have a bridge program - at least not yet.

SAC is a community college that I would recommend - but since it's a 'real' college it will cost less, but take longer I think. Galen is a 'tech' school so it cost's more but you finish faster.

I am currently in the RN program at Hallmark. It is a VERY new program and so with that said, there are a lot of kinks that are still being worked out. They just started accepting LVNs on a case by case basis (as far as being "bridged")...there is a test a LVN has to take in order to determine whether or not they can enter later in the program rather than in the beginning. Everything, including prereqs there can be completed in just under 2 years, and so far there is no huge waitlist, as with other programs. Best thing would be to call and schedule an appointment with the school. It is a little on the expensive side, but you finish much sooner than a traditional program would take. I Took the STEP test at Hallmark and got about 12 credits. With that, the nursing portion takes 12 months.

I really like it. I this very structured and very doable with the schedule. I'm very glad I chose the program. yes, it is pricy but i am very impressed.

Thanks. I went to the school the other day and the lady who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. I will be taking the TEAS test on Wednesday and the LPN step test on Friday. I really liked their simulation lab. Yes, it is pricey but it might all be worth it in the end.

Hi everyone! I applied for the RN program at Hallmark College and if everything will work out good I will be starting the fall semester this Sept 13. I just have a few questions for those nursing students who graduated from Hallmark. First, how are the classes like, is it hard or easy? Second, are the professors knowledgeable, helpful, and do they really know what they are teaching to the students? Third, what is the NCLEX pass rates, is it low or high? Fourth, is it guarantee that a fresh graduate nursing student from Hallmark college will get a job right away? Fifth, can I transfer all my credits from Hallmark to a different school if I want to pursue my BSN in the future? I just want to make things clear because I don't want to regret anything later on. I know RN is an RN and nobody cares what school you graduated as long as you have the Nursing license, but it still makes a big difference hearing it from an experienced individual. Thank you!

Hi there, I just posted a comment here and this is my first time on this website so I'm new to it :) So how do you like the RN program at Hallmark? I have applied already and I will have my panel interview this month. What kind of questions do they ask you? I'm kinda nervous about it, lolz. So, do you think it's all worth it to go to Hallmark College after all?
