H1b Visa for nurses under FY 2010

I have applied for a work visa for the position as a dialysis nurse. I was filed last april 1 2009 and was wondering when will i get to have a visa? Anyone with a similar status of mine???:specs:

its my first time to contribute in this forum. I was so eager to apply for h1b, (as evryone desires in present retro. ) nyway i just received my visa screen cert. last october and recently to found out of the h1b opprtunity as my friend told me i can be qualified as i am working here in middle east as OR nurse of 4 years exp. But my problem I dont know if there is still h1b available for me, and is there any agency will select or prioritize me for h1b? because i didnt have any agency as i am the 1 who shouldered all my exams and visa screenin.do u see any hope that I can be file for h1b even in the beginning of 2010?I already sent hard copy of my credntials to popular agency in the philippines and 3 weeks from now I didnt got any reply from them?Im thingking that the H1b is deplted already. If you knew some institution or agency willing to sponsor me your referral is greatly appreciated.am i having a litle percentage for h1b visa availabilty as I just finished my Visa screen last october?

You do not file for H1b your employer does. You need to find a employer willing to petition your H1b bearing in mind the current US job situation and many nurses struggling for work in the US this may be hard

My agency is still looking for nurses with relevant experience in the specialized area of ICU,HDU,OR,NICU etc. Time is running out though,as of last count there are only less than 4000 H1B visas left.

I don't know how I can pass you the details cause my PM function has been disabled.

h1b visa is a specialist visa and you should have specialist experience when applying for one.

Can you please please email to me the details of your agency that is still processing H1B visa. I am a hemodialysis nurse with 2 years experience and NCLEX and CGFNS holder and visascreen certificate. I truly appreciate your help. thanks a lot!

Isn't it the hospital that does the petitioning rather than the agency? Not many places are going with H1b anymore due to economy. There can be 4K visas left, but finding a place that isn't cutting back on nursing and is willing to go through the H1b route is very slim. Good Luck to all
