Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread about GW's application process for Fall 2018. The deadline is Oct. 15th and was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to get a response. I unfortunately, haven't finished all my pre reqs but will have all of them done by the end of spring semester. I am currently taking micro and dev. psych. Taking stats in the spring. I'm just nervous about not having them all completed. I do have a 4.0 in the ones that are done. Anyone else in the same boat?
I heard GWU doesn't have enough people applying to their accelerated BSN. Does anyone know if they accept below a 3.0? I have a 2.9.
The GW website just says 3.0 is the "preferred" GPA. Looks like they might consider applicants with a lower GPA. It probably depends on the strength of the rest of your application. You can always try applying and see what happens!
Im still waiting on my decision for both summer and fall. I noticed they also extended the deadline, hopefully ill get in. Do you guys mind posting your stats? I want to see where I stand compared to admittedd students. I have a 3.4 overall and 3.8 in prereqs. GW is my top choice and i only applied to one other school -UMSON.
I'm still waiting on my decision for fall 2018 too! I called to check on my application status and they said I should know within the next couple of weeks if not by the end of February at the latest. The wait is killing me!! I have a 3.6 overall and a 3.8 on my pre-reqs, but I am really unsure what they are looking for in applicants.
Good luck! I had a 3.5 overall and 4.0 prereq GPA. In addition to that I had more than 200 volunteer hours and almost 30 hours of clinical observation (shadowing). I think that helped, because otherwise, I don't have almost any experience working in health care. Most of my work experience has been in customer service and sales, although I also work as a peer tutor in Anatomy and Chemistry at my school.

The deadline was extended, but I've gotten emails from other programs that have extended their deadlines as well. Some semesters schools just don't get as many applicants. I think they extend their deadlines in order to try to find more highly qualified students.
