Gwinnett Technical College...Applying for the Nursing Program Jan 2016

Hey all!

Just wanted to see if any students on here is attending Gwinnett Tech and taking the pre-req for Nursing who will be applying January 2016 for the Fall 2016 program. I am signed up the take Micro this fall and will be applying in January. I'm not confident that I will be admitted into the program next Fall because of my GPA(2.9). I think I will have to retake A&P2 since I didn't do so well in that class. Hoping that I will score high on the Kaplan to see if that would help. I am planing on taking the Kaplan in October so if I need to retake, I can do so in late November or early December.

Hope you are all excited. Its going to be one emotional, bumpy ride. Just dont make the mistake of thinking you can procrastinate, bc it will not be doable.

I'm very excited, but bervous. My boyfriend is in his third semester at ggc in the nursing program, and when he first started- I saw many breakdowns lol. And it's a ton of work! But I'm ready :)

Yes, I'm very excited and ready for the challenge. I've worked sooo hard for this moment and I'm prepared to do what is required and much more.

Thats awesome. Congratulations to you guys. Get book info early and read ahead. Dont wste youre summer not getting to it. Trust me. You have around 30 chapters per week for the 1st 2 weeks to read and after that a paper! And a complete head to toe check off which is very, very in depth. Im at the stem lab on the 1st floor in bld. 900. The lady who runs who gets to work there and I will try to do some workshops for how to prepare over the summer time.

Yes, I too will attend a workshop. Anything to make the learning process easier is very beneficial. Esp since I'm such a visual learner.

Anytime :) i will try to see if we can have one in the morning and one in the evening for those with opposite work schedules. You are also more than welcome to come in and just ask questions when you can manage. We have a few nursing atusents who work there. I will be starting next week. Im going to have a badge with both the school id and a gwinnett medical id in it so thats a way to tell who i am :)
