Hey all!
Just wanted to see if any students on here is attending Gwinnett Tech and taking the pre-req for Nursing who will be applying January 2016 for the Fall 2016 program. I am signed up the take Micro this fall and will be applying in January. I'm not confident that I will be admitted into the program next Fall because of my GPA(2.9). I think I will have to retake A&P2 since I didn't do so well in that class. Hoping that I will score high on the Kaplan to see if that would help. I am planing on taking the Kaplan in October so if I need to retake, I can do so in late November or early December.
Hello all, I am the senior RN student who some of you met at the Meet and Greet last week. I will be working in the STEM center in Rm 1109 Tuesdays and Thursdays after 1300 and Wednesdays may vary but I should be there 1300 the latest. If you'd like to arrange times to meet over program information, reading calendars, study tips, etc, PM me.
How many credits of basics and such do you have to take? I'm can't find very much information about this whole process. I'm going back to school in the fall to Lanier Tech since the Forsyth campus is a mile from me, but I'd like to take the GTC nursing program. Would it better just to start at GTC? The campus is a mile from where I work so maybe that would be smarter? How many semesters are basics? How many credits? Just kinda want some more info on this whole process from those who have gone through it.
I am the tutor at the STEM center in bld. 900. I will be available after 12 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during summer semester to give tips and advice about the Kaplan, the application process, as well as what to do to get ahead once accepted. It is in room 1109, the first hallway on your right coming from the 900 parking lot. Pm me if you would like to make appointments, and I will work with any of you. All you will need is to sign into the STEM using your student ID.
Hello. Are you still available for the days that you posted? I would love to set up an appointment with you. I could not pm you because I'm not an active participant on this site. You can pm me at [email protected]. Thank you again
Would anyone be so kind as to share any good resources that will help prepare me for the Kaplan exam? I bought the book and have been reviewing it but I'm still nervous I just got my acceptance letter today and i want to apply for the Fall 2017 cohort. The January 15 deadline is around the corner and i would like to go ahead and take the kaplan to submit my nursing applicaiton. I am extremely nervous a about the entrance test. Currently I have a 3.95 gpa. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey, the best way to stay posted is to visit the secretary for health sciences one the first floor where those small offices are. She can arrange that for you. Im going to work with her to try to get better connected with pre program students, perhaps a newsletter and comminications board of some sort. We will do the best we can to help you all succeed :)
