Gwinnett Technical College...Applying for the Nursing Program Jan 2016

Hey all!

Just wanted to see if any students on here is attending Gwinnett Tech and taking the pre-req for Nursing who will be applying January 2016 for the Fall 2016 program. I am signed up the take Micro this fall and will be applying in January. I'm not confident that I will be admitted into the program next Fall because of my GPA(2.9). I think I will have to retake A&P2 since I didn't do so well in that class. Hoping that I will score high on the Kaplan to see if that would help. I am planing on taking the Kaplan in October so if I need to retake, I can do so in late November or early December.

For anyone whose gpa is below a 3.5 i would definitely suggest retaking kaplan if you scored is below 80, just to be safe

They should. If you are asking senior nursing students, then the answer would be late early to mid April. For our class it was February, which it more than likely will be for your cohort because they changed how the applicant process goes starting with my class.

OK thanks the academic advisor said 2 weeks after we turn the app in and the nursing director said end of March beginning of April. I haven't spoke with any nursing students besides you. As you can tell, I dont possess patience lol. This waiting game is so agonizing

Thank you for your response! I ended up with a 78 on Kaplan and a 3.86 gpa. Praying I get in lol we will see.

The advisor told me by the end of Feb. I hope we don't have to wait until end of March or April! I need to know now haha
