GSU Spring 2011 Applicants (BSN)

Published

Hello to everyone,

I decided to start a thread:idea: to find out if there's anyone who's applied or plans to apply to Georgia Stat University's Spring 2011 program. I have already sent out my application package in the middle of August. I know that we won't start hearing anything until October, but I figured it would help reduce the pressure of the wait for us to have discussions about it here.

Hope to hear from GSU applicants soon; and if there are former/current BLSON students :nurse: on here that can give us some advice and helpful words :twocents: it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Thanks to everyone who is posting updates about "insider information"!!

Well everyone us getting the same news... So the extreme excitement haas really begun. I'm with you svictor.... I'm gonna stalk my mailman lol. I do hope we can get to meet and go through the process together. Right now all I can say is that I leave it in God's hands.. Yes, God!

Hello, everyone I'm new to this thread. I've actually been stalking the site for sometime (since TEAS days). I'm going crazy during this application process and thought it would be good to chat with you all. I'm a second degree student (like many of you) and I applied for Spring admission. I really want to get into the ACE program:yeah: but I applied to both. I graduated in 2001 with my 1st degree, so I'm a little bit older, and I just want to get finished as soon as possible. Anyways, I don't want to bore you too much, but I'll would love to chat, and I'll keep you updated with anything that I hear.

Good luck to everyone.:)

@gsuhopeful: I am also a second degree seeking student and graduated with my first degree in 2001! This process of going back to school has been really exciting...but terrifying at the same time. Good luck to you!:D

Hi everyone....I am super psyched! I received my acceptance letter this afternoon!!! Wooo-whooo!! Can't wait to meet everyone! Good luck!!!

:clpty::dancgrp::hpygrp::ancong!:

Way to go!!!!! I know this is personal what I am going to ask, but would you mind posting what your gpa and TEAS scores were? If not I understand. Again, congrats!!

Thanks icamp!! I am really excited because GSU is the only program I applied to...so sort of put all of my eggs in one basket.

I am not certain of my program GPA because I am a second degree student and some of my classes transferred over from the first degree I got in 2001. Here are the classes I took at GSU with my grades:

Biology I and II- A

Anatomy I and II- A

Microbiology- A+

Micro Lab- A+

Abnormal Psych- A+

Human Development and Lifespan (Nursing 2010..I think?)- A

Survey of US History- A+

Communication and Cultural Diversity- A

Teas= 91.8%

I felt pretty confident in my grades...but this program is sooo tough to get into that I was really worried. Thanks goodness! I can't wait to hear good news from everyone else.....I know it is coming soon!
