GSU Fall 2012

Published

Not sure if there's one of these started already, but it's still pretty far off, so I thought I'd make one. Have any of you guys taken the TEAS yet? If not, where are you taking it? I didn't see any dates listed for GSU.

Thx for thw word od encouragement. I need all that I can get right now. If I get wait listed again I just might throw things, but knowing me I'll cry.

Some people have already received letters!

Oh, wow! Did they specify what day they received them? That just amped up my nervousness :/

yep she got it on saturday. I'm not sure what her stats are though.

Hah! I don't really expect myself to be in the "early" group of accepted folks, know what I mean? So, I'm not gonna freak out too much. I've pretty much told myself that I won't hear a decision until the end of the month.

kuhelski, what are your stats again? The first time I got in, I had an 86 TEAS score. Stop worrying! lol. And yeah, usually the first people to get letters have darn near perfect stats. But its usually only like 10 people (the previous semesters).

for this semester my stats are: TEAS 86, GPA 3.74

for all I care I could be their last pick as long as I get picked. Getting wait listed twice really made me think about changing my major, but deep down I know nursing is what I want to do.

completely off topic, does anyone have the cna certification? I was thinking of getting one so I could get a job working as a pct. Just trying to figure out how much time it would take to obtain one.

I don't have one, but I've wondered if it would be a good idea to do it, kuhelski. I also wonder how long (and how much $$) the process is.

Hey Breezy7, the test was awesome! However, I am taking the lab exam we have today with Dr. Chapman's 2:30pm class today since I had the 1103 lab exam right before it. That was very kind and understanding of her to let me do that. I didn't even ask for that and she just offered:) By the way, who are you taking A&P with? I had Dr. Ross for both and she is awesome! You will end up retaining the info for life. I am actually going to go and study for the lab exam now...but I will see you in class (hopefully in nursing school as well :). Have a great one!

YES!! I agree, it's definitely nice to put a face to the name! I'm Steph, by the way. I'm certain you'll get in as well. I was really pleased with the Bio test today; I couldn't make myself study last night, but I was really comfortable with how she presented the material on the test. How do you think you did? It's all I can do to focus on A&P right now... eek!

I actually posted without quoting you before; however, I could not delete my comment for some reason...(My apologies to everyone for the double-post)...Hey Breezy7, the test was awesome! Just keep a positive attitude and everything will work out...what ever you do, never give up! You have great stats and I am sure you will get in:) I am just shocked that they would wait list you in the first place. I have heard that any score above 80 on the TEAS is competitive and your GPA is great, so don't worry:)
