GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions

Published

Hi, will anyone here be applying for the 2016 admissions for the CNL program at GRU in Augusta, GA?! If so could you share some of your career background/experience and stats! Also if some of you who are currently or have been in the program could give some input that would be awesome too!!

Thank you! It has been moved!

Hi...I'm taking A&P I online through GMC next quarter...who was your professor?

Hey! This is the first time I've logged back on since our last posts. I used the Kaplan study book. I liked it, but the MAT seems to be something you can't really study for. I took the diagnostic test in the book, and when after I went through the book and then took some of the practice tests, I still got the same score or close to the same score I got on the diagnostic test. It's more a test of your ability to problem solve and figure stuff out rather than a test of general knowledge. Are you still taking the test in September? Have you started your application through NursingCAS yet? I'm working on mine now, and I'm so nervous.

Is anyone planning on attending the College of Nursing Tour Day on Friday, August 28th? I just signed up for it:)

Hi Jen! Thanks so much. I would have replied to your private message but I can't do that yet. I'm really loving taking all the prereqs online and getting them done in eight weeks is great. Like you said, they're intense, but so far I've pulled an A in Bio (I never took it my first two times in college) and Human Development (the program wouldn't accept the one I have because it's an education course and not a psychology course). I've still got to do the two A&Ps, micro, and chemistry. Gulp. Right now I'm working on my application...almost finished, just have to to finish up my essay. I'm so nervous!

Yes I will be taking the test in October now and am in the middle of studying for it using the Kaplan study guide! Yes I am too working on my application in Nursingcas! I'm a bit nervous as well! Have you put together your statement of purpose?

I previously attended the tour over the summer and it was awesome!!

I'm working on the essay now, and I just keep second guessing myself. I don't know if I should go for a tug at your heartstrings kind of thing, or if I should just be cut and dry and stick to the facts. I was told there were over 400 applicants for the program last year...I want it to stand out!

I'm pretty much in the same boat! I want to stand out as well so that's why I'm having trouble coming up with a good solid intro! Wow 400?! I wonder how many applicants are accepted seeing as they have an Athens and Augusta campus.

I think they told me 120 in all, but I could be wrong. I'm thinking 90/30 or 80/40 Augusta/Athens.

Yeah I remember them saying the number of applicants change each year so I'm hoping they accept more. It seems like more and more people are targeting this program each year!

So, we need to get our apps in as soon as possible!!!!
