Hi, will anyone here be applying for the 2016 admissions for the CNL program at GRU in Augusta, GA?! If so could you share some of your career background/experience and stats! Also if some of you who are currently or have been in the program could give some input that would be awesome too!!
If you are an Athens student, you will have to come to the Augusta campus a few times, such as for the White Coat Ceremony and Professionalism forum, CNL Poster Presentation, Pinning Ceremony, and Graduation. Augusta students never went to Athens campus. The class size in Athens is smaller vs the large class located in Augusta (though technically, you are one class). If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! I graduated from the CNL program this past December!
Thank you!
But what about classes are they more online because they are based in Athens? Or is there an actual university campus in Athens? Also, what about sim lab and hands on classes?
Im just confused to how the Athens campus runs, Bc I tried to google map it and the building just shows one small office next to an autozone? Lol
Hey everyone, I did find one in Milledgeville that I can take Monday. (It's a lot closer to me than Athens since I'm in Augusta) I emailed Emily earlier asking her about the score, so I was going to wait for her response and sign up for it tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips for the MAT? I've been studying, but its pretty hard to actually nail down because I don't know what words or subjects they'll be more likely to use. Thank you!
Mstew924,
I'm so glad you found a place to take the MAT! The official score reports take approximately 2-4 weeks to get to wherever they need to go. As far as the subjects to study-- it really can be anything and everything. History, art, vocabulary, chemistry/biology, animals, plants, music, planets, synonyms, antonyms, homonyms... People, places, things, ideas. The key is how they relate. I used the Kaplan book to study and scored very well on the MAT my first try.

I was an Augusta campus student. Some classes and lectures will be online while other classes are done together. The Athens Campus and the Augusta campus had lectures together. There's an internet connection in the classrooms with cameras so that both campuses can be seen and taught at the same time. Some days professors in Augusta will teach, some days it will be Athens, and some days will be both Athens and Augusta professors teaching. The in-class lectures are taught at the same time, with the same content to both campuses. They make it so you can interact and talk to students at the other campus while in lecture. The Athens Campus does their clinical rotations and sim lab in Athens (or nearby). You don't come to Augusta for those.
Going off of this response! I attended the CNL information session and there they told us all about the two different campuses. Yes Athens, has a campus where they hold classes and have sim lab. They said it was in an old Piggly wiggly and from the pics it didn't seem too big but it gets the job done!
I am a student on the Athens campus.....we have everything that the Augusta campus has to offer! Our class is just smaller which is great because we all know each other pretty well and that makes the process that much more bearable! You only go to Augusta once at the beginning of the program, once about halfway through, and then to graduate. Otherwise, all of our classes are the same as theirs!!

Do you think you would be able to take the gre? Maybe there are some dates available? But it does take like 10 days to get the scores sent over
