GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions

Published

Hi, will anyone here be applying for the 2016 admissions for the CNL program at GRU in Augusta, GA?! If so could you share some of your career background/experience and stats! Also if some of you who are currently or have been in the program could give some input that would be awesome too!!

Hi everyone!

I'm just now joining the thread :) I received an email yesterday morning that I was invited to interview! Yay! I'm so excited. However, I live in Ohio and definitely can't make arrangements to fly down there by the scheduled 2/5 date... So I'll have to skype. I'm a little nervous about that; I'm hoping it won't hurt my chances. To me, in person just seems better. I'm pretty borderline reading everyone's stats. I have a 3.34 gpa from Ohio State (all prereqs taken there too) and a 313 Gre score (4.0 writing). But I guess we will see! 2/3 letters of Rec were ehhh (changing my major around at a big university didn't allow for much student-teacher relationships) but my current job as a nurse aide should help me out. Good luck to everyone!

@MidwifeToBe219 Can you tell us what you thought of the program? What was the work load like? Was it manageable? Do you mind telling us what you do now and what some of your other friends from the program are doing now with their degree? I'm very curious! Thanks :)

Hey guys,

So I check my application status every day (twice a day) on the Augusta University website and today it changed from "Ready for review by committee" to "Decision made by admissions committee: notification is by mail" also a "Background consent form" appeared in my "documents not received" section.....

Does anyone who has already been accepted know if that's a good thing? I'm beyond nervous/excited right now

I'm not sure what this means but mine says the same thing! and yesterday it said ready for review....

When did you interview?

I hope this is good news for us!

Hey izzyb,

I interviewed on Dec 18th, what about you? And I hope so too, this is nerve wrecking

Royv24,

I actually just interviewed last friday on the 22nd..so I'm surprised that there has already been a decision made. Could be really good or really bad lol!

Good luck to you! My stomach is in knots!

I interviewed the week before izzyb, and my application has been submitted and complete since the last day of November. My status check says "incomplete", even though all required documents are shown in the documents received column... What the heck?!

mas91,

I got an email last Friday saying that my application was being processed and it said incomplete. I sent it to Emily and she said not to worry about it. It changed to ready to review some time this week..maybe yesterday or the day before, and I'm assuming changed to decision made today? I'm not sure if there is a method to any of this.. maybe it's in alphabetical order..or something? I want to call them but I don't want to bug them any more than I already have lol

mas91,

does yours have "required documents not received: background consent form"?

Izzyb,

No background consent form. Just proof of citizenship, immunization records, and final transcript.

I interviewed 2 weeks ago as well and last week my application was incomplete and now it's still says ready for review. No decision made, so nervous! í ½í¸

Hmm.. weird how the process is so different for everyone. I had my app verified in November and there were some who submitted theirs later that got interviews sooner.. Best of luck to all of you! :) I will keep everyone updated if I hear anything
