GRU CNL PROGRAM 2016 admissions

Published

Hi, will anyone here be applying for the 2016 admissions for the CNL program at GRU in Augusta, GA?! If so could you share some of your career background/experience and stats! Also if some of you who are currently or have been in the program could give some input that would be awesome too!!

Perhaps I should go ahead and take it. Whats considered a good score on the MAT? Sorry I have so many questions.

No worries! There isn't a ton of info out there about it. It is scaled 200-600, with 400 being the typical score and what GRU is looking for I believe. I got a 434, which is 91st percentile overall and 93rd percentile for nursing majors if I remember correctly. Once you hit 400 the percentile increases dramatically as your score goes up. According to what I read, rarely do people get over 470s etc.

If it makes you feel better, my degree is in Humanities with a focus in Foreign Language. There were a few typical undergrad core classes that I was waived from (Humanities 101 and 102 being two of them, ironically:))) because of my military and intelligence training. I still did well even with gaps in some of that knowledge, so you may do better than you picture yourself doing!:)

I also spent the majority of the test sweating, thinking I was completely bombing it lol. I think that's normal?

Hahha I do the same thing! I work myself up. I mean I can Ace a test in a specific subject no problem but standardized tests give me anxiety :) Maybe Ill wait a few more days to see if I get an interview and then sign up for it. I have good grades so Im hoping those pull me up. Who knows!

Specializes in SRNA.

I enjoyed taking the MAT as well, and scored in the 99th percentile. Majored in Kinesiology for undergrad and have all prerequisites finished except microbiology. I'm really hoping my application gets reviewed soon, I'd love to interview before Christmas, since it seems spots are filling rather quickly...

If it makes anyone feel better I got accepted with a 294 on the GRE.

Honestly I think the interviews given are more based on other things such as grades essay and references....maybe experience

And stay positive! I'm sure there are plenty of spaces open. I heard the previous years they still had it open way pass the deadline. Hope this helps!

For those accepted we do have a fb page to get to know everyone and ask questions too.

Thank you! And yes I believe so.

Congratulations! Are you going to be on the Athens campus?

Thank you! And yes I believe so

Eagles22,

Do you know if they have filled all of the spots in Athens? That is my first (and really only) choice, but my interview is at the Augusta campus.

I do not know, but I think it is still early in the cycle so if I had to guess no they haven't (but that is just a guess!)

I was asked to submit my fall grades by the admission board....hoping thats a good sign?

Any news from anyone?
